But I guess that'd have to deal more with the issue about how the story is going rather than Sasuke himself.

Imo most of Sasuke's power has been handed to him on a silver platter with little or no drawback. CS2 anyone? Orochi's healing? and even when he supposedly loses those... all of a sudden with the poke in the head he gains Itachi's freaking eye abilities on top of an already OP Sharingan?

Compare that to Naruto who's training with Jiraiya has been undermined and amounted to little development. Yes he has Kyuubi's healing, but he can't draw on Kyuubi's powers willingly without going crazy and having his life shortened. And on top of that, he manages to develop a "theoretically improbable" kickass technique but is told later he can't use it.... wth?

I guess I just have a problem with people who have everything handed to them especially when someone working so hard is being left in the dump.

Kishi cut Naruto some slack and stop giving Sasuke lame ass power-ups he hasn't worked for.

Actually the only thing Sasuke hasn’t worked for is being born an Uchiha and inheriting the Sharingan. And, if you consider those three abilities you mentioned “most” of his arsenal, you’re sadly mistaken and I’m afraid you’re bound to be even more disappointed because he is way more than just these three abilities.

5) You're right he has grown, but from what we've seen Naruto grew more in that brief time with Kakashi and Tenzo than in those 3 years with Jiraiya. That itself irks me to no end since it made those 3 years of his training pointless.

6) That itself is pure speculation and what you quoted I said has nothing to do with it. Even so, I still don't believe he's deserving of Itachi's abilities.

0) In any case I said that my vendetta is against how the story rather than Sasuke. If Sasuke wasn't held on such a high pedestal by Kishi while on his quest for power (having things handed to him)... he could be a much more likeable character in a dark hero sort of way.

Now then, if he was in fact “completely manipulated” as someone mentioned earlier, he would have killed naruto easily at the end of part I (since he was unconscious on the floor) and guess what? The MS would have magically appeared the same way it did from the poke on the forehead. Sasuke fighting Itachi and gaining it via the poke actually required much more work than killing naruto in part I would have.

Hinata had development? You mean her two scenes, one more than the average female in the series . She had her battle scene (which all the females have) and then the park scene. I am not sure how that counts as "a lot of development", but I do agree that currently she has had significantly less than what she had before .

Perhaps "most" wasn't the best word to use. But I guess my original statement changes to....

I still use "silver platter" because in my eyes CS2, Orochi's healing, MS w/Amaterasu, are his strongest abilities... which were practically given to him. If you want to disagree, I'll just say Sasuke has been shown to work the least to get his big power-ups.

It's still one of the most BS ways around things no? Sasuke said in part I he'd find his own way to get it... but in the end, instead of finding out for himself, his brother gave it to him. And its not like he gained just the MS, he also gained Amaterasu, one of the most dangerous techniques in existence... all by a poke.

Again though, I'd like to stress greatly that if Sasuke were not held on such a high pedestal by Kishi... while hampering Naruto in ever progress he makes, I wouldn't have as much as a problem with him.

Ppls don't be hatin on hina., kishi hasn't given any of the other girls(exect sakura) enough scene time and anyway she hasn't fought anyone yet in the manga (part 2) she probaly improve like every one else (she's a chinnin after all)

i used to HATE sakura and how brat and rude she was but she's better in part 2.:big grin:
