Wondering if the ghosts of Mavis and Pureato will join the fight with Makarov against the now confirmed Black Dragon. I think that would be a very FT thing to do... Nakama power until the bloody end (and beyond)

Predictable in a way, but still I didn't expect Makarov to be the one fighting with the dragon. I wanted to see a goodbye between Makarov and Laxus..

Yea was actually a pretty good cahpter despite, like people said before abit predictable in a way but in a good way.

Between Gil and Makarov facing off aginst the dragon, it was always higher chance that it would be Makarov, considering his "retirement" has been long coming.

The thing that interests me now is the aftermath of al this, I expect some mopping around for abit and drama concerning the next Guild Leader, this is where I want Laxus ot step up to the challenge of his own free will rather than someone else say so.

And yea I'm also hoping for a few epic words from Acnologia as well.
Before Zeref had his little part to say I was actually expecting the dragon to say something but makes sense after.

I like how the chapter made fun of how worthless the title of "dragon slayer" really is thus far.

yeah I meant it in a good way although from here on I won't be able to say predictable anymore... at this point who knows what's gonna happen?

by the way, why the other dragons don't stop Acknowlogia? I know dragons don't consider humans as nothing more than insects but then, why did they teach some of them to be dragon slayers?

I hope in the future we are able to see more old-generation dragon slayers

The Black Dragon is as epic as expected. Seeing a real Dragon in action really shows that our Dragon Slayer trio has a long way to go.

yup, seems charlie's predictions were rather much dicking around with us. We thought that they were all pieces of the same vision, but instead it was just bits and pieces of what was going to happen on the island which all did not amount to all that much... Natsu experiences fear, kana has a personal revelation, Lucy gets knocked out but is fine, and Zereff shows up... woop-dee-doo; not much when we were expecting that the vision was predicting someone's death. No if someone does die it will not be something that was part of that prediction.

Actually, he may not have been talking about ALL dragons, just the black dragon... But we don't know much about the dragons as it is; where they went, what they are up to, what their goals are and why they trained humans as dragon slayers

Poor Makarov but I really hope that Hiro-sensei won't change his mind in few chapters. Makarov's death will be a great way to develop characters and make some changes which should make things more fun.

Spoiler for Speculation about Zeref after chapter 252:

Zeref is immortal and evil and he had enough of his life, he attempted on removing his evil which resulted to a lot of summoned Demons, he almost succeeded on removing his evil personality which resulted in Deliora, although ends up in another failure, so he collaborated with the first Fairy Tail guildmaster and started the Fairy Tail project, by extracting all his powers and some of his knowledge except for the death spells and they are manifested into monsters, with the highest form of Monster that has a great amount of knowledge is a Dragon. The kindest of Zeref manifested into a fire dragon named Igneel. The evil and ruthless destruction manifested into a dark dragon named Acnologia. Those dragons have raised and trained some humans to become dragon slayers. But in reality, the reason those dragons have banished except for Acnologia is through Zeref, as he recalled them back to regain all those memories including the memories they shared with the Dragon slayers they trained, that also explains why Zeref seems to care and want to see Natsu. Natsu, Wendy, and Gajeel are not aware that they already have acquired those powers.

Farewell Grandpa, probably the arc now goes into Dragon Slayer searching arc, where they need to find the rest of the Dragon Slayers in time so they could seal Acnologia up cause destroying it would only trigger the end of the world, which explains why Gildartz doesn't want to fight with it. He suffered a fatal chest wound in an attempt back then and explains why he didn't return for a very long time.

Hmm... I don't know if Makarov will die from this chapter alone, I thought that he was going to die after the face off with Hades, may be Zeref will save the day
