If they really intend to reach 26 episodes, then this is the first of eight episodes. Which means 1/8 of the anime arc has covered about 1/5 of the SN arc. Which means the remaining episodes should be quite juicy.

But wait, what if there turn out to be less than 26, like 24? Then they'd have to keep this pacing, and we are thus left to hope that DEEN will choose wisely with cuts.

If they were to end at 24 they would be doomed from the start, even at 26 they will be pretty much forced to keep that speed up I think.

But apart from that I liked the episode quite much, maybe not the best episode for me yet, but that's because I never quite got into the first third of Episode 4.

It's either I have very low standards or some people do not understand that the cuts in this episode were actually good.

I can only say that most cuts here are good because it allows the rest of Episode 4 to be paced properly.

Also, the Rosa call was IMO paced well. No more dragging Maria parts.

I agree, all the draggy flashback parts are short now, making it possible for the good parts to be paced better. I like this episode and I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for the following ones.

I have no complaints for this episode. I think it was okay.

Although, I did miss this:

No, I think so too. But that's nothing new. Battler has been mostly serious in the anime. I'd say the same thing about Beatrice. That's why I was said DEEN cut the part where she tried to cheer up Battler, since she looked completely ridiculous. But well, that's how it is.

I lol'ing.
Minori Chihara as Sakutarou...
Since I'm obsesseed with Haruhi Suzumiya, while watching this episode I kept expecting Sakutarou to say something in monotone-ness.
Also, I love the new op changes.

Young Ange... Doesn't she resemble some Idolmaster character...?

Okonogi... To think he would appear in this anime... and now a vampire too!

Meh @ Ange's past
The template bullying (that actually has some truth). Ange looks disproportionate for some reason... Though I guess you need a disproportionate body to come out of falling on a car unharmed?

Geez, BEato keep bending over. I think 34 was right about beato. She doesn't care if she wins or lose.
Episode deserves an 8 , but gave it a 9 because of Moe Beato.

Blue text is used for theories. However the condition is that anything in blue has to be countered in red that can destroy the theory. If Beato can't do this then she loses. Have some hypothetical examples.

There are exactly 10 master keys.

There are no more than 5 master keys.

Because the red affirms that 5 is the limit then the blue is destroyed.

Opposite example:

The six people in the shed from EP 1 were not the people we know them to be but actually body doubles. This is supported by the fact that four faces were shredded and therefore we could not see them.

If there is no red to counter this then the blue wins.

Kinzo's "ZEN ZEN DAME DA" further fuels the "Kinzo is Battler" theory...

Oh god, how I would laugh if it was true.
