Ya i would have liked to check up on the other students Quote:
If the narrative really did want to force a conflict then it would have made more sense to have them TRY to do a simple recon mission, only for the villain to ambush them and attack them instead. They TRIED to keep the intern away from the fight, but the villain forced them Again, Jirou's role with her hero made more sense. She gave them support but was always kept in a position where she was kept away from conflict. Let her learn by watching the pro's work and get some light experience helping out. This is all supposed to be training for them, not actual work.

First off.
. Hmph! Anime original, what a waste, for this they should have released it as an OVA. I hope the filler stop at this. Who asked for this anyways? . Second. . TSUYU-CHAN!!! More! More! I want more Froppy! Tsuyu-chan GO! . Ehem... . Speaking of other students, poor Mineta we didn't learn if he was used for something else. . Also what kind of internship will someone like Invisible Girl (i half expect that Marvel will sue MHA) or Anima? |

Episode 20:
Mineta and his freaking perverted mind LOL Not bad for a buildup episode this week. I like the story that All Might told Deku about quirks and All For One. I think this episode foreshadowed the inevitable dangers that lie ahead for the heroes. Should be interesting to see how that will develop in this anime.

I like that the little brother's quirk is essentially the neutered, 1/2 version of his older brother's. It makes sense that he had that quirk. He can give stuff away but couldn't steal anything so it was useless and unknown until he was given another quirk.

It makes you wonder if All for One knew about his brother possessing that quirk or not, and if it was just a coincidence he gave him a quirk that fit his natural power perfectly. Maybe he had some kind of master plan that went horribly wrong when All Might literally smashed his face in.

Really important episode, we're finally introduced to the big bad. That scene with All Might really hurt, he just can't bear to tell innocent Midoriya that he'll almost definitely be dead by the time of the final battle. Who knows about Gran Torino's lifespan, but nice to see him acknowledge Deku too as a worthy successor.
At least there was some humor to balance things out. Does Best Jeanist control hair too or his haircuts are just that good? And Mineta is same as ever, but even funnier is that Jiro is offended that he thinks about the invisible girl before her. And Deku's not quite there with his moves, but better to find out now than during battle. So All Might has laid out most of it, explaining the freakishly powerful Nomus as well as Deku's destiny- to finish off the villain All Might couldn't. Deku's still got a long way to go, All Might won't last forever, and the villains are getting more active. At least their normal school life will continue on for a while longer. |

That wasn't a flashback, it was just an imaginary scenario used as a demonstration to show that, while One for All can't be taken against the owner's will, it can be given against the receiver's will. It doesn't matter if the person receiving it wants it or not if the person giving it chooses to give it to them and the receiver has ingested some of the giver's DNA.

Oh, I love, love, loved this episode!
It addressed so many questions that I have been asking thus far. The issue regarding Stain taking in Deku's DNA? They stated what many have put forward in that one has to be willing in order to pass down OfA. I was still confused on how that would put Deku's life in danger if people knew, but the idea of people trying to force him to be willing to give it away, is a scary thought. How did this society get to the way it is? It did in fact go through your usual "X-men" period, where people with powers were feared and hated and there was anarchy popping up everywhere. It took centuries it looks like, and the fact that superpowers became more and more common, before it eventually got to the point that we see it now. Also, if this series is so far in the future, how come all the tech and such is the same as it is now? Well, technological progress basically just froze because of the whole issues with quirks and society having to deal with that. So, basically all tech is the same as it every was and never progressed for the last century or so. The idea that All for One came before One for All, and that All for One created One for All through his younger brother, is not something I expected but it makes a lot of sense from a thematic standpoint. The idea that One for All can be forced on someone makes sense as well. The receiver doesn't have to be willing, only the giver. And of course Deku is determined to take on his destiny just as he does with everything, however, we all know that its not going to be that easy. I'd say the most poignant part of the episode was the point where Deku says that he can do anything as long as All Might is with him, and yet All Might is trying to force himself to tell him what Recovery Girl and Gran Torino have been urging him to tell him, and All Might just can't do it. I've never seen the big guy so emotionally distraught before and really just hammers the whole situation home. There is going to come a point where Deku is going to have to do all this on his own...

That scene when All Might couldn't get himself to tell Deku about his fate once his powers have fully transferred over...that really tugged at the heartstrings. We all assume that All Might will die based on the implications but it could also be possible that he will just become quirkless. In that sense, he still won't be able to be by Deku's side during battle. So I'm still hoping their relationship won't become a tragedy or it will be sad and devastating for Deku. But I do feel that hope is a long shot.
The ying and yang relationship/power of All for One and his brother was interesting. I'd love to see his brothers story - thought it'll be a tragic one. But if One for All's ability is to continuously accumulate power through passage then wouldn't it be more beneficial to have pass the power onto someone who already has a quirk? With Deku, he wouldn't be able to add anything more onto it when he passes it onto the next person. (Although I'm glad Deku got it because I really like his character.)
