Hunter X Hunter returns with the 1/29 issue of WSJ. Togashi almost made it back in 2017 as promised (and it is the same year if you want to use the lunar calendar...). Maybe they're taking a more realistic and modest approach this time to manage his back problems.

Somehow the universe was never going to let us have H x H and Rurouni Kenshin active at the same time.

Well now, color me surprised.... Togashi shortened his hiatus after all! Maybe he's not returning before the year's end like he promised, but close enough. Perhaps we won't have to wait nearly a decade for him to finish a major storyline this time around, eh?

Chapter is out.
Looks like all the ryodan members wants to kill Hisoka so badly. Even Chrono wants to kill him so bad lol. Love seeing them so being so bloodthirsty. Phinks told ordered those random guys to list down the room number of those who are above 190cm. Pretty sure Hisoka was 187cm tall...

And the cover of volume 35 is out. Though it looks like they used the all illustration from last year's issue for the design.

Man, I wanted to talk about the chapter earlier, but I didn't catch any translation at the time. Anyways, it's great to see the Ryodan together again, especially now that they're on the hunt for Hisoka. And as far as the end of the chapter goes, it looks like we're getting a hint as to the true purpose of the succession battle.....

So Kurapika found a possible loophole in the contract? Or a realization that they had every intention of dragging out the war, hence the reason for doing it on the boat where they couldn't withdraw?

The thing about special conditions on abilities is some abilities make it possible to manipulate the circumstances to make its weaknesses irrelevant.

So the succession war was hiding something even more sinister. I wonder what these coffins do.

Pretty interesting that three of the princes have ties with mafia groups (of course, the 4th prince is one of them). Curious to see how this will come into play.
