Luckily no as fallschirmjager says its airsoft.

Never fully understood why folks would want to do that or an extended period of time. When I was in the armed forces, we'd have 12 hour (minimum) exercises in MOP4, sweeping for UXO's, doing SABC, establishing perimiters, setting up DP's (defensive positions, not double penetrations), etc and it was painfully boring. Someone doing stuff like this without even getting paid is beyond me.

It was a special mil-sim event held at a large FIBUA site in wales.

One team was tasked with defending particular buildings in the town from the opposing side for the period of 24 hours aswell as numourous other smaller objectives.

Nobody is forced to play for the full 24 hours so you can jump in and out of the action whenever you feel like it (but obviously the game continues on without you).

Aside from that i love these events for there huge turnouts ,pyrotechnics, explosions and use of hummv's and military vehicles as well as the whole social side of it all.

Its an "interesting" experience to say the least =]
