I think it will, the author said he will be busy with IRL stuff for a while so the pace will drop. I'm seriously hoping that the IRL stuff he's gotta deal with is publication for a LN tbh. guess that's just wishful thinking on my part but I'll be happy if he gets published.

The whole Shizuku-as-bait seems like its being set up for Kouki's development rather than actually drawing back Hajime. Frankly, if they did draw Hajime back there is nothing they could do to him, but Daisuke doesn't seem to have thought that far. If they think they can use Shizuku as a hostage they are horribly mistaken.

However, it is a credible threat to Kouki and Shizuku with the proper ambush. Forcing Kouki to kill a lunatic like Daisuke to save Shizuku would be harsh but appropriate.

They are gonna get their arses handed the moment Hajime finds out they did something like that. So it was DaiASSuke who developed this RIDICULOUS plan, not mastermind-kun?Funny Mastermind-kun decides to go along with it.

Well they said that it would make Kaori come back so Daisuke can get his hands on her. Nothing about how to combat against Hajime and co. though.

There's no reason to believe Kaori wouldn't come back with HAJIME and co. if something happened to Shizuku. Besides that, once that has been resolved, her stay will only be temporary.
