Kuroko takes the first one without much issue. Sayaka will win here brining the Madoka streak to 27 straight wins to tie the Saki streak. The last two matches are pretty tough. All six are middle strength characters that aren't that far apart. I'd say Nori takes the first match and Yui takes the second but I'm not that sure.

Kugumiya Rie only 3 had characters this year. Tacos, Nagi, and Iori. None made it past the 1st round. Her worst year since 2003 when she didn't have any characters in the main tournament

Well, for those of us cheering on Sayaka, which is a significant number of us this year I'm pleased to say, the big day has arrived!

Let's keep the Madoka Magica streak rolling!

As for the other three matches, I don't care a whole lot who wins in each of them, though I'm inclined to agree with TRE on Kuroko.

Based on both Kuroko and Sayaka's opponents for the first round, I don't see either side trying to interferre in the other match just yet.

My supports however are in the other two matches:
Anko (Tamako Market) <even though Ayumu and Nori are also good characters>
Momo Isshiki (Vividred)

Maria places 2nd and the "other Maria" also places 2nd.

Well, both Onee-chan won their match. Sad that Yukinon goes out this early, was enjoying her yelling and scolding. So, record is now 76-16 (2-2 for the round).

For one last groups of matchup...

H03: Pick/Predict: Kuroko.
H06: Pick/Predict: Haruka. Just b/c I HAVE to pick Minami-ke at least having one upset...
H09: Pick/Predict: Anko. Both Anko and Nori finish in lower half their 1st prelim group, but Anko's group is stronger...
H12: Pick/Predict: Ichii Yui. Never, ever I will underestimate Yuyushiki.

Ok, now you're just being grotesquely disrespectful of Sayaka. It's one thing to predict that Eru will win the block. But to predict that Sayaka will lose her first round match against opponents that didn't do anywhere near as good as she did in prelims?

I agree with what Triple R said about Sayaka, and the highest chance Minami Ke could do an upset was the Kana vs Kud match anyways.

It's Saimoe. You don't have to be stronger than your opponent to beat your opponent. Sayaka or any one else could lose at any moment.
