I stopped reading this around chapter 19. No reason in particular, I kinda stopped just because. My feelings towards the story weren't particularly strong at that point in time and I wasn't really connecting with the characters either.

For those that are up-to-date, would you recommend that I pick it back up? Or would it fail to capture my interest like it previously did?

I'm all caught up. I'm glad I decided to give this another go. It's quite good.

Shugen's pretty OP, but the dude's sense of justice and moral compass is hella busted. He's definitely going to be an enemy as I can't see someone like him making any compromises to meet his fellow Asaemon and the criminals halfway.

The chances for surviving and become similar being as the Lord Tensen is very slim, even if u meet the condition on trying it when u are in the verge of death.
