More importantly, who is doing the novels? This question is yet addressed in this announcement deal. Does Kadokawa Pictures USA have a candidate publisher?

Well that's a whole seperate issue, and probably wouldn't be bundled with the anime license (or handled through Kadokawa Pictures USA). Bandai has published some books before (in particular, some manga that they've packed in with DVDs), but it's more likely to be published by someone else. I'd assume that, if it isn't already settled, it's probably still in the bidding phase, so all things in due time.

On another note, looks like the Code Geass parody site(http://www.code-geass.com/) has given up hehe.

Edit: in anticipation of a new branch being opened in Australia, i have now changed my avatar to have Australia on it. Kinda shoddy, but it's the best i could do ^^

Looks like they'll upload a new, subtitled version of the video soon or something. Most likely to explain what was said in Japanese. And source code message has shown up again:

<!-- Stimuli observed. Reaction most intriguing. Do we do something to induce further actions? -->

Going by the airwaves on the net this few days, Haruhi seems to have been licensed by kadokawa pictures USA and; distribution by Bandai Entertainment.

Is that Kyon in the video doing the narration of the explaining of how Haruhi came up with the A for the ASOS Brigade?

He sounds kind of gay.

...

Shit, what have I done...

http://forums.animesuki.com/showpost...1&postcount=40

Edit:

Ah, I didn't read. "Made by fans, for fans." My bad. Sorry about that Kyon dude!
...
And so the reason why I didn't see any girl on girl action, ...it all makes sense now.

^ All is possible for Haruhi.

But the logical explanation would be "No relation".

Since Patricia Lee came out of nowhere (and I haven't seen her since Power Rangers), she may have been the only actual English cast member present in the video. And her name is listed as voicing Haruhi on AnimeNewsNetwork, if that counts as a valid source. Can't wait.

They did say that exciting things would be coming in the next episodes of the promo video.

Hahaha, that was exciting. I agree, this is an excellent marketing ploy and a new unique way of annoucing licenses.

Out of extreme curiosity, who normally checks source codes?! I never thought of it until I saw it mentioned here. I mean, seriously, just who checks source codes??

Under certain circumstances do I check source codes. Seeing a teaser site like this before today, I just had to. First thing that came to mind.

That doesn't mean Patricia Lee is doing the voice of Haruhi. I can say that the English cast list is still up in the air.

Her voice is too deep for Haruhi. Have Hirano Aya learn english instead

Well, since the video is a parody and all, it's not really fair to judge her acting and/or her pitch based on it (assuming that she's even in the dub). It's not as if actresses can't speak in a higher or lower voice, depending on what role they're playing... even Hirano Aya does that.

It's usually good for if you want to track down other information and/or material. Which in this case, the most recent version leads you to a video hosting site http://one.revver.com/watch/126197 of the larger version that is displayed on their front page.

/lordrichard's servers probably crapped out in no time I bet.

Edit:
