Do you guys know any fics which is a more serious rewrite of IS? I mean everything isn't held up by flimsy paper mache excuses and the harem antics don't feel tacked on but flow fluidly?

Ayup, I knew I'm not infallible, but that's why I am in this thread.

Blitz managed to save the story once (during the Chapter 8 incident, where I went too fast with character introduction). If he's not enough, you will be there right?

There's also Demi and Stratos if shit hits the fan on the tech and power level department.

Frankly, the harem antics are the paper mache of IS...it's VERY hard to find one because the original canon just have the slightest reasons of girls fallen smitten over our protagonist.

Same reason I made that fic where Chifuyu and Ichika switched places: Chifuyu feels more natural and is a more active protagonist compared to Ichika. Her no nonesense personality also puts her at odds with Cecilia and Tatenashi while Ichika just makes friends with everyone.

Am I really the only one who grew to love Cecilia? Especially when she showed the capacity to prioritize something OTHER than Ichika without being threatened?

I used to like Charlotte the best. Mostly because she had her own problem with Ichika not being one of them. Than the classroom scene. Then the date. Then it just spiraled downhill into Ichikaville.

Kanzashi would have been interesting, had she not been an easy spot of the 180 girl right from the fucking start.

Other than that, not much problem with her, it's worse in anime because you actually see them.

I like her as well. Volume 4 and the Special chapter light novels show more of her personality and she shows better depth. Shame that goes all out the window once Ichika enters the scene and she turns into a blubbering schoolgirl who tries to clumsily seduce him.

Ichika is dangerous, he lower girls' IQ sharply.

I think it is his ability...you know like Pokemon's intimate lower attack?

Cecilia is my second favorite (still like Charlotte better since she is the first girl who doesn't beat the crap out of Ichika physically).

Cecilia got ignored a lot but she strike me as more of a hard worker who work really hard behind the scene (I think it's the pride issue....which push her to work harder than the rest

).

Edit: Other girls gave off a feeling of fooling around..... except for Laura who is too serious.

Not sure about Kanzashi but I probably will like her better when she has more appearance.

Old Cecilia is my FAVEHREET character, design wise. Hence why I'm so boned when the new design... ugh, the abomination.

The problem lies with her reason of falling in love, really.

OTOH, Lingyin I have no excuse.

In the case of personality, my most favorite is Kanzashi. But the way canon put her off made me feel sad, need to rework the plot if you want to put her as main heroine (since she's so passive).
