Having people slander your name is a big thing and of course, one wants to do everything they can to correct it, however, he's up against a very influential sect who also have vast resources. The Yun Lan Sect would have denied that they had anything to do with the Mo Family and/or asked him to call witnesses to it, which would have involved his brothers and their mercenary band. Yun Lan Sect would have just refused their testimony because 1) they are his brothers, and 2) they are just lowly mercenaries - why would the esteemed Yun Lan Sect bother with them in the first place?

Even if he asked Na Lan Yan to remember the night at the Mo Family mansion in Salt City, the little girl with the snake eyes isn't there to provide testimony and Lan Yan only remembers so much of that night. The Mo Family was plotting against the Yun Lan Sect itself - why would the Mo Family use the Yun Lan members to do their bidding when they 'don't have the authority' to do so? (Which is part of what this Elder is covering up, it seems).

And mentioning 'Yun Zhi' (the white haired girl's name) would either throw them for a fit, or just confuse them as some of them probably don't even know the Yun Lan leader's real name.

Also, he can't deny the 'theft' of the Essence to the Pill King without revealing his master to him. To solve this easily, he'd need Yun Zhi to show up but that's not gonna happen.

Was the essence flame situation different in the novel version ( Am still in first 100 chapters), because in the manhua version it was never the Pill Kings anyway, so he didn't actually steal it from the Misty Cloud sect.

I meant that in they were trying to get it themselves. We would say that they 'called dibs' on it. They had 'first right' to it and Xiao Yan 'stole' that chance from them. People that big and important - they'd say that you stole it from them.

In the novel, Xiao Yan did screw over the Pill King in the same way he did in the manhua. Unlike the manhua, the Pill King in the novel did not join in the feeding frenzy. In the novel, it was just the elder putting on the pressure.

In both versions, the flame was never the Misty Cloud's to begin with, but as Tempest stated, the Pill King called it first.

The flame didn't belong to anyone at one time. It was fair game for anyone to get. We're just saying that the other parties involved (Medusa, The Pill King) would both claim the Essence Flame as theirs alone instead. In a way, Medusa still has access to it so she's not as bad off as Pill King, who has lost it completely. Anyone would feel sore about losing such a valuable item, especially in the way Xiao literally sneaked and got it from underneath everyone's noses.

Does Yun Shan live long enough to see Medusa fall in love with MC, because if I am looking at the raws right the MC is going to cause him no end of misery.

If he does he will not only witness the MC destroying his home and bringing his clan to its knees but Xiao Yan wins the heart of the woman he loves.

As far as Xiao Yan knows, some scrub has his father's pendant - the one that has the name and crest of his family - the one that he never takes off. And then, said scrubs said that they got it during a battle that they joined a few days ago against his family and they say that his father has been missing ever since the attack. Just that alone is enough.

Current rage is very understandable.

I've caught up with the Manwha but I'm really curious and was wondering if I could get spoiled a bit about whether we will see Qing Lin (the green haired loli) and the MC's brothers soon?
Also, of all the chicks in the final screen that we see each chapter (e.g.: http://manga-joy.com/Battle-Through-The-Heavens/87/23/) with which one does he stay on good terms with (and/or end up with, except for the two I know) and do we see them all regularly throughout the story?
I'm currently a bit annoyed with how the MC seemingly jumps from one place to another promises some stuff and moves away again. Like with the school, wasn't he supposed to return so time ago?

He stays on good terms with all the girls but he does get into a fight with Yun Yun a few chapters down the line.

It's the escape from Jia Ma, the auction at the Dark Realm, and finally the school. The reason why he has to go through the Dark Realm is because the school is somehow located in the middle of that area. From what I hear, it's kinda like USC and it's surrounding though 10X worse in the BTTH universe.

Based on what I see, it seems the artists are blazing through the School Arc and trying to get to the second climax asap (~ chapter 590 in the novel version).

Xiao Yan will get his shot at Yun Shan. Grand Master vs Ancestor Rank. That's a 4 rank (or basically 40 levels) difference. In RPG terms, it's like level 30 vs a level 70 boss. He'll need some help to rapidly close the gap in a short moment. Can anyone guess how?
