I am really disappointed in #4.

Back in Deus' place, pretty much everyone (except Yuno) is gunning after him. But #4 says, "I will protect you", and I was thinking, "ah, this guy's so cool". Although I know I should keep an eye out for twists and turns in the plot, #4's betrayal is sort of unexpected.

I hope Yuno introduces him to Mr. Axe.

Just found out about this manga and got up to chapter 19. I love it. How much do I love it?

I hate this type of psycho/crazy show/manga. The final episode of School Days totally turned me off, even knowing in advance that it would probably turn out like its video game predecessor. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni turned me off with the first scene of the first episode. And yet here I am, totally addicted to the psycho-type show/manga that, until this afternoon, I had believed I would never glance at in earnest.

That's how much I love it.

I gotta admit, a lot is thanks to Yuno. She's gotta be like the most moe boxcutter girls in anime/manga. Totally devoted and loyal to Yuki while cleaving everything that glances at him the wrong way. Her moe factor was through the roof during their first date and their date to the wedding chapel.

Does anybody know where I can get chapter 20, and is chapter 20 the latest chapter?

Chapter 20 is indeed the latest so far. Anyway I'm not sure if it's against the rules to tell people where to get illegal stuff... so I think you better try asking elsewhere.

Anyway Mirai Nikki is serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace, so I'm not sure when chapter 21 will be out.

Edit: Next Shonen Ace is at end of the month, so it's gonna be a long wait for chapter 21... sigh, I need more Yuno!

What are you talking about? Didn't 21 just come out in the last day or so?

Spoiler for ch. 21 main plot points:

Yukiteru and Yuno are hiding from a police manhunt. They're getting hungry, but can't go out to find food or they'll be caught. Eventually, they spot the detective's wife when she passes by their hiding place with a box of doughnuts.

Keigo (the detective) shows up in front of Minene (bomber girl) and asks her for a favour. She's naturally suspicious, but in the end he reveals what exactly he wants; if he loses, he wants her to look after someone. (Interesting that he decides to ask a terrorist bomber for this, but hey... I suppose she's more reliable than Yuno the Mad Axewoman. )

So in the end, Minene ends up dressed as a nurse in a hospital. She's just thinking that there's no way Yukiteru and Yuno will show up there, when she looks out the window and there they are, watching Keigo's wife from the bushes.

The pair follow Keigo's wife into the hospital, where they get caught by Minene. She yanks Yukiteru around a corner and tries to blow up Yuno, but Yuno manages to survive as the blast takes out the floor between them.

Minene is about to finish Yuno off when Yukiteru grabs for the detonation gear; in the struggle he hits the wrong button and blows out the floor on the other side of him and Nenene, destabilising the section of floor they're standing on.

Yuno finds a ladder and uses it to bridge the gap so the other two can climb over - but then they start arguing about who goes first. Minene says that once Yukiteru is across, Yuno will drop the ladder. (Yuno immediately says "I won't drop it," with a bright smile. They both stare at her in disbelief.) Yukiteru thinks that if Minene gets across first, she'll do something while Yuno is stuck holding the ladder. (Yuno then tells them not to fight, with another bright smile. They stare at her again.)

It looks like they'll be stuck arguing until they both plummet to their deaths... except that just then, Minene's phone rings. She picks it up, and it's Keigo calling. He tells her not to attack Yukiteru and Yuno, and to wait - he's coming to the hospital. Hearing that, Yukiteru shouts that she's going to turn on them. Minene's tries to calm him down by telling him that they're on the same side for now, but unfortunately for her Keigo hears and demands to know what's going on.

The three-way argument spirals out of control with Minene stuck in the middle, and finally Keigo tells her that if she's betrayed him he'll kill her too. She finally yells into the phone that she doesn't care anymore and hangs up, then shows Yukiteru her phone - it shows that she's about to meet a DEAD END at Keigo's hands too. Yukiteru finally stops protesting and they both make it to safety.

Finally, Minene leads them to a room and shows them what Keigo is fighting for: his wife is there, visiting their son who's in a hospital bed. They eat the doughnuts, and form another temporary alliance as the police show up in force outside.

Now I have to wait for volume 4 to come out.

It seems so. The son is shown sick in the hospital, and he is willing to ask a terrorist to look after him and also contemplates the fact that he can not allow people like the 6th to become god because they hate the world.

It takes place between volumes 1 and 2.

I'm not sure Yuno actually "hates" anyone, when you get right down to it. The only person she really cares about is Yukiteru. Nobody else even registers on Yuno's emotional radar, except when she perceives them as a threat to either Yukiteru or her relationship with him - and, as we've observed, Yuno's method for dealing with threats is rather brutally direct.

But when the chips are down, Yukiteru's welfare (and her prospective future with him) overrides every other consideration for Yuno. Whether it's allying with Minene or slicing and dicing small children, there's nothing she wouldn't do if it would help her Yukki.

Oh, and chapter 22 seems to be out.
