I don't see anything particularly wrong with the trailer. I'm pretty sure it won't seem nearly as boring when we have subtitles for it.

I'm not sure I'd agree she sounds nothing like KanaHana, but yeah, I was thinking Noto Mamiko too. And my Noto Mamiko detector has surprisingly few false positives given how sensitive it is - I figured out she was the mute girl in Canaan prior to her having any lines because of the sounds her character made while eating.

...And I just realized that Noto Mamiko has appeared in every second PA Works TV anime thus far. Weird.

Anyway, while I don't think this'll achieve the greatest of Hanasaku Iroha PA Works has a very strong track record for me and one of the characters is a miko. With glasses!

To be honest, PA Works don't have the greatest record when they are not doing anime originals based on "slice of life/drama" settings, so I won't have high expectations of this one. Stuff like Canaan, Angel Beats and Another are not in the same league as True Tears, Hanasaku Iroha or Tari Tari since the three former titles trainwrecked pretty damn hard somewhere down the line. Yes, HSI sucked at parts but I wouldn't say it tranwrecked... Canaan, Angel Beats and Another had some pretty god awful plot twists that make cringe real hard.

As always. Everyone try to put his own personal opinion as the most right one.

For me all P.A.Works originals were great. And I liked Another as their only real "non-original" anime, not o much as Canaan, True Tears or HSI but still.

There'll be a nico preair stream on march 16th!

We've also got more cast members:

Kouki Uchiyama as Miyuki Sagara
Rie Kugimiya as Satoru Wamiya

Jun Fukuyama as Yukimasa Sagara
Kaito Ishikawa as Manatsu Soda
Madoka Yonezawa as Mayura Soda
Ryohei Kimura as Masumi Soda

The OP will be performed by Annabel ( a PA works regular who also did the ED for Canaan and Another) while the ED will be performed by Masami Itou (who will also be working on the OST)

Kadokawa shows have a high rate of simulcasts, so it's probable that at least Crunchy/AOD will pick it up.

1. Over-shy, glasses moe girl.
2. School theme (again)
3. Supernatural/fantasy elements (including random supernatural like combatative attacks)
4. "Another" like eery atmosphere
5. Happy music

Does not compute. Smells like a recipe for a massive trainwreck though D:. PA please just stick with anime original slice of life/dramas plz

Unlike most people, I find this new PV pretty good but it still doesn't appeal much. The inclusion of Hikaru Nanase and Akira Ishida makes me hope I'll give the first episode a try. It's true that the school theme gets tiring, but for me it all depends to how the themes will be executed in a good or bad manner. Still I'll see how positive the audience will see of it (at least the early episodes).
