Yes, the one and only. That artstyle is easy to recognize.

By the way, am I the only one who sees the main girl and thinks 'grown up Nyaruko'?

The names involved are pretty much keeping me interested so far, but I'll keep mild expectations on this since Kyoani LN adaptions seem to be either hit or miss as of recent. Just hope it stays faithful to the source material this time if allowed. This may be a new experience, I've never watched an anime about a theme park before.lol

Actually, the news has been around for quite a while., but there has been a long delay for some reason.

And here's a copy of volume 1 I have:

This story is worth a few chuckles, at least.

People are much too happy. Yes, Gatoh gives us a better chance of it not being an utter piece of garbage like all their anime since Hyouka, but the concept does not sound all that great given the synopsis. Maybe it'll actually be something worth watching, but given Kyoani's track record in recent years, this still invites much skepticism. They have a lot to prove here, even if it isn't based on one of their in house light novels.

Since Clannad After Story - IMO that was last last good anime from KAni.

So this got an anime, with the third volume coming in 3 days. Probably will have some funny moments but nothing so serious compared to the author's previous work Full Metal Panic.

I can understand your scepticism and I'm betting right now that you probably won't enjoy the show

However I must say that I'm moderately hyped since one thing that Gatoh does have is some writing quality so at least we have a very high chance of not getting glass-fetish jokes every couple of seconds.

That's all I'm asking for. That and kyoani not chickening out at the last second. You know what I'm talking about.

For me the hurdle is a little higher this time, though, since now I look forward to see how well DL's original designs translate in animated form.

I happy that something from Gatoh is being animated, and he still hasn't said that there's no chance of FMP! getting another season, so maybe they'll do this, and then they'll do FMP!? Nah, that's too optimistic.

[mod edit: removed off-topic]

Anyway, can't wait for this to start airing.

Fun how that's exactly why this is interests me. What will he do with such a premise?

The PapaKiki art style in the LN looks absolutely nothing like KyoAni's recent anime. Wonder if they'll replicate the art style like they did with Nichijou or if they'll completely change it like with K-ON.

That premise is too intriguing for me not to check this out.

I'm hoping we get the Hyouka art style again, personally.

I'm really looking forward to see this, I wonder how an anime about an amusement park will be

Hyoka's artstyle worked so well because of how well it went with the relaxed pace of the show. This looks more like crazy hijinks, so a change might be necessary.
