Slice of life manga "Amanchu!" is getting a TV anime adaptation. The studio will be J.C. Staff.
Scheduled for Summer 2016.

Plot Summary:

Hikari Kohinata is a cheerful 15-year-old girl who lives near the ocean and she spends much of her time diving as a result. On her first day of high school, she meets a teacher who also likes scuba diving. There's also a 16-year-old classmate, Futaba, who gets dragged along in Hikari's maelstrom as soon as they meet at school. Most of the manga so far details the relationship between the two girls, which quickly seems to move into romantic two girl friendship-territory.

Good news.Eri Suzuki is Pikari, Ai Kayano is Dotty, Shikaco is Aria, & Shizuka Itou is Katori-sensei.. (Some of the VA are involved in anime version of Kamachi-sensei LNs)

I hope Nissan would be the sponsor..

Maaya Sakamoto Performs Opening Theme Song for Amanchu! Anime

Voice actress and singer Maaya Sakamoto announced on her official website on Monday that she will perform the opening theme song "Million Clouds" for the television anime adaptation of Kozue Amano's Amanchu! manga.

Sakamoto will release the single with the song on the same day as her first live album, which does not yet have a name or release date. Sunday marked the end of Sakamoto's year-long musical anniversary project that commemorated her 20th year in the music industry.

Amanchu! will premiere in July on Tokyo MX, AT-X, and other channels.

More news everyone: Amanchu! Anime Reveals Ending Theme Singers, Lists 7 Blu-ray Volumes

A joint event for the anime adaptations of Kozue Amano's Amanchu! and Aria manga announced the singers for the Amanchu! anime's ending theme song, details on its Blu-ray Disc release, and other information on Sunday.

The anime's lead voice actresses Eri Suzuki (Hikari Kohinata) and Ai Kayano (Futaba Ōki) formed the unit "Tekopikari" to sing the ending theme song "Futari Shōjo" (Two Girls). The song's single (with additional insert songs "Aquamarine" and "Turquoise") and the anime's soundtrack (with about 25 tracks) by guitar duo Gontiti will both go on sale on August 24.

The first Blu-ray volume will ship on September 28 with two episodes, a digest video of the Niconico-streamed cast announcement, staff commentary, and a jacket illustration (pictured above) by character designer Yoko Ito. The limited first pressing will add an Amano-illustrated box for the first four volumes, an application form for an event's advance ticket sales and a booklet.

According to the anime's official website, there will be seven monthly Blu-ray volumes between September 28, 2016 and March 29, 2017. According to the retailer Amazon, each volume will be 50 minutes long.

Amano-senseis' cat situation is truly something

Pretty nice first episode. I feel like the visuals were a bit underwhelming when it came to water which is a shame but in line with what I was sadly expecting from the studio. Thankfully most everything else is spot on. I'm still getting used to Pikari's voice but it's not that far off from what I was expecting anyway so that shouldn't take long. dotty teko on the other hand is spot on. Overall a pretty good first episode, I'd even risk saying it matches Tamayura. No show can match Arias' first episode though. The combo of Akari and Ai-chan is just too cute to beat

Teko x Pikari relationship will be as much romantic-friendship they can.
Isn't weird the dress they used in a school close to the sea? Compared to LL Sunshine who is normal.
It look like Amano just want keep drawning Aria dresses, haha.

Oh yes, that was marvellous. Just what I wanted from the show right from the incidental music through to the ED. Looking forward to seeing how the show develops, as I've not really read much of the manga and am not holding great hopes of it ever being published in English given how the Aria manga stalled twice. (grr argh)

As far as faces go, well yes, Amano-sensei has a great knack for drawing attractive ladies but not being afraid to also draw them looking extremely goofy for effect.
I liked that in Aria and I like it here.

The weird thing is that evidence indicates Kozue Amano is entirely capable of drawing cats that don't look like eldritch abominations... she just chooses not to.

OP song is charming and comfy with a smooth tone while we get introduction of the main girls. I got some the atmospheric feel similar to Aria from the episode. Even some of the character expressions is similar. Hikari is the funniest to watch. Futaba's appearance is really beautiful imo. Got pretty much everything I had expected from the episode and quite pleased. There's no fan service at all despite most of the setting taking place around the beach. ED theme song is also smooth and comfy imo. __________________
