I love this show, makes me laugh every time I see it. And makes me want to work out! Which is a great trait in any show. I'm like "I WANNA SWIIIIIIM". Badly. Let's just strip naked and swim in whatever water we see... oh wait.

I laughed hard seeing all these perfect bodies (especially our lovely shota). For me it's comedy all the way. I cannot take it seriously and this way the show is a blast for me.

One unusual thing is the girl. She's just... good. Not annoying, not a wimp, with some strange habits but they're acceptable (I'm the same kind of perv with my main focus on hands and hair), she can be funny but level headed. Not really resembling any of useless and spineless females in other animes. I also root for her and Captain from the other club. He seems really interested in such a sweet way... I liked it very much.

Asahi Broadcasting, the fourth and final member of the Iwatobi Swimming Club Production Committtee, is broadcasting the World Swimming Championships from Spain this week during the timeslot that Free! usually runs in. Since they are financially invested in the venture and do not wish to be a week behind the stations that aren't (plus I believe they manage the digital distribution aspect), they convinced the rest of the stations to delay this week's episode to next week.

Look in the bright side! We finally get to see female swimmers this week, right? RIGHT?!!

On another note, it's foolish to hope that Gou will end up in Megami or Nyantype, isn't it?

I'm not sure how exactly they choose the heroines they want in their magazines, but yeah, chances Gou will make it are low. I don't recall a single heroine from series aimed at females making it. It's simply not the kind of shows Megami and Nyantype's readerships watch.

I believe Yuki from Vampire Knight made it to Megami at one point. And would Ringo and Yuri from Penguindrum count?

Seems this shows focus on Pash & Otomedia for promotional arts so far and I also loved to have Gou getting her own poster but this isn't the case

Penguindrum had plenty of male viewers, and I don't think it was specifically aimed toward females, so I wouldn't say they count.

You're right, Yuki made it a long time ago. Although extremely unlikely, I guess it's not impossible for Gou to get a poster.

In my mind I just cannot disassociate that song from the visuals. It stills feels wrong to listen to it even without the visuals

It's actually not the first time KyoAni has done this: the first Hyouka ED also felt a tad wrong due to all the yurilicious visuals it brought along. :P

I find that true for the Hyouka one as well :P, sometimes I wish that studios would create animated opening to the full song as well as the tv version :/
