Dubstep

I searched and I couldn't find a thread dedicated to dubstep music. Is anyone here into it?

Here are some of my favorite tracks.

How did I not know about this thread? I don't mean to criticize, but your guys's womps are kind of weaksauce, but don't worry, I will donate some filth and grime to this thread.

Also:
Anyone that lives in the Bay Area/Nor Cal should seriously consider going to Ancient Machines

EDIT:

one more batch of womps

Nah, as much as i love wobbly filth stuff, i prefer more towards the 2-step/chillout/reggae rooted Dubstep.

Would these be more your style then?

Almost. But my style of Dubstep are based on the following producers:

-Joy orbison
-Burial
-Skream
-Mala
-Horsepower Productions
-MJ Cole
-Zed Bias

Some of those are also UK Garage/House producers, so you know what type of Dubstep i'm into.

When i got into Dubstep, it was mostly due to exposure by UK Garage and Grime DJs. That's why i prefer the experimental type like Burial and Joy Orbison, although i also enjoy filthy Dubstep like Datsik and Jakwob too.

The only name on that list I'm familiar with and/or like is Skream, I'm surprised to see Caspa and Rusko missing from your list but w/e, since you said you like Datsik maybe you will enjoy this

Not really dirty enough for me, but to each his own.

Well, here's my type of Dubstep i enjoy:

And Caspa and Rusko kind of hit and misses for me.

I love Hold On and Rusko's remix of Take me to the Hospital, but his other tracks doesn't pique my interest to be honest.

And Datsik is awesome.

Trust Whoa-B to stay true to Dubstep. This is what Dubstep is all about.

He's definitely got some talent, but I need a little more bass. (plus some dirty, filthy, grime ) It might just be the sound quality of that video though, I'll look whoa-b up.

You've never heard of Burial and you're into Dubstep?

also, I don't get the love archangel gets, it's such a normal track to me.

I personally love this Jamie woon remix, too good.

To each his own bro.

But hey, Dubstep started without ANY wobble at all. The first Dubstep tracks were stuff like Midnight Request Line by Skream and HDN by horsepower Productions.

I suggest you look into the history of Dubstep by listening to this mix:

Okay. But still, always remember and respect the founders and their contributions towards the sound we all know today.

Oh, and don't forget to check out www.rinse.fm for some great Dubstep and its sister genres (UK Funky, Crack House, DnB)

Mt Eden are pretty epic imo, and they've only been around for a short while.

Protip: use the YouTube tags to allows YT videos to play within the forum, like the others have posted above. For example, place the end code of the YouTube video link (the part after the v=) into the YouTube tags, so that it should look like this;

(youtube)FDYIdBZUl2Y(/youtube) but with square brackets [] instead of round brackets ()

Here's some more dirty goodness;
