Read full volume Watched 3 episodes Played the game Watched 2 episodes Read full volume Played the game I have toned it down a bit since I realized that . I have read up to volume 25 so far. Spoiler:

Can't find IRC for Ippo manga
first off, I'm fairly new to IRC. I've been using is as little as possible for the last year because of bit torrents, but finally I have a reason to use it again.
I can connect to the irc.irchighway.net server but when I join the #snoopycool channel it's empty...any ideas? Also, if anybody can send the manga (I'm only looking for what isn't in the anime) to me that'd be freaking awesome! Just send me a PM or something if you can help. I'll also be checking this every couple days just in case I get a responce but it seems to be pretty dead. |

there are tons of fights in the next 40 volumes, some non ippo some ippo and a lot of story about everything else in between. If you think about you average manga that sputters out long before even 30 volumes Ippo is really a great story in that we have seen so much character development and change.

If you are like me the main reason it is dragging on is that you didn't find it until 60 or so volumes had come out letting you read them all at once (very few series over 30 volumes much less at 80) and waiting for my weekly fix of ippo is.... slow going to say the least, especially after being able to read so much all at once.

i really enjoy this manga 84 volumes and almost 20 years of work.
i wish they would make a 2nd season of the hajime no ippo. also i wish they would increase the pace of this anime or or make each chapter long. i dont see this manga ending anytime soon. ippo is just starting to make his world title run thier the class a tournament for itagaku, aoki and the rest. and thier still the ichiro vs randy boy junior fight which will probably last a few volumes |

Since i can't read japanese i would really like it if Tokyopop or Dark Horse to license it. So i can buy the volumes in english. (not viz, they censure too much)
But do you think there is a possibility that they WOULD still do that? It's such an "old" serie now... Hell, maybe i'll even buy them if they were dutch |

I know that the French market of manga is quite special but an editor (and not one of the bigger) has licensed Hajime no Ippo and is releasing one volume a month (volume 10 has been released last week). So it's still possible that an American publisher could do the same.

First off, I hope I'm not the only girl in this thread >>;;;; ,
Secondly, I haven't actually read the manga yet. I'm barely at ep 55, when Ippo challenges Date Eiji for the featherweight champion belt. Just wondering if the anime follows the manga closely? and also if it does, where/which chapter does the manga pick up after the anime ends??? |

The anime cover up to volume 30, the OAV is volume 31 and 32 and the movie volume 33 to 35.
The anime follow the manga really closely, if you only watch the anime you can continue with the manga without missing anything. |
