I looked around on a few JP pages dedicated to the game...and yes, we do need a save file of the "Toaru Kagaku no Railgun" in order to get the Misaka route in Story Mode as well as the last CG in the Gallery.

...though note that you only need a "save file". Gamers in Japan discovered that you can unlock the Misaka route just by creating a save folder for the "Railgun" game in your memory stick by hooking up your PSP and/or you memory stick to your PC and creating a folder onto it. Even if there isnt any actual save data on it the "Index" game acknowledges the existence of the folder and unlocks the story mode and the final CG.

So if you're inpatient and dont want to wait another two months for the "Railgun" game then you can go around and find the specific folder name needed for the "Railgun" save data.

As for myself I'm gonna patiently wait until I get my copy of "Railgun"...complete with the Kuroko figma figure. (=3=) -3

Hmm, tried making a Folder called "RAILGUN_DATA", that didn't work.

Is there an exact name you have to give the folder for this cheat to work?

yea, you need the railgun save data filename. Usually it's something like ULSJ(some random long number here). I also haven't find the save data filename though.

Well here's what I found on the wiki page dedicated to the game:

*NOTE*

I havent attempted to use this myself nor do I intend to. Its your own responsibility if you decide to use it and if any file corruptions and/or loss of any save data occur then too bad, its your own fault. (=3=) -3

If you're really paranoid and/or worried then I suggest picking up an empty memory stick and just copy the "Index" save file onto it and attempt creating the "Railgun" file. Worst case scenario is that you either lost a copy data of your "Index" save file and/or use of the memory stick...for whatever reason...though I think that its fairly unlikely it'd happen.

Word of Advice: DON'T use this cheat.

Because the Game programmers seem to have taken precautions against this it: Should you try it and then delete the failed folder, the game will catch on and delete your ENTIRE progress, forcing you to start all over again.

This I found out the hard way.

Oh well, at least it will justify adding the Kuroko-chan Limited Edition figure to my collection in May (Yes, the Railgun game has officially been delayed again, fucking hell!!)

Are you referring to your "RAILGUN_DATA" as the failed folder or have you attempted it with the file name I provided in my earlier post? If the file name I provided ends in that result then I'll need to edit it out.

Anyone else feel that the creators highly favor the Science characters

? Accelerator, Mikoto, Mugino, Imouto... These are the constant names that are considered 'strongest' in the game with the Magic Characters possibly rare to never used

Not only that, with Kanzaki in the game you'd at least expect her to be more useful than what the game actually made out her to be.

Using Kanzaki forces you to rely very heavily on figuring how her Nanasen (and the occasional Fire/Water attribute damage complement) works...

... which I honestly didn't.

The four characters you speak of, yes of course I do find them way too easy to use and can overwhelm most opponents pretty quickly (although that's just my general opinion, in my personal opinion Touma or Tsuchimikado does things the best

)

I also felt that Acqua was way too slow. I expected him to be game-breaking fast and powerful, but he's probably the slowest character in the game. I'm also disappointed that they didn't include Pendex in there.

No he's not, he wouldn't be a bad choice, but I was trying to balance out the numbers of two sides and he didn't make the cut.

Edit: replaced Bardway with Knight Leader... Makes more sense. Possible to replace Ollerus with Bardway though...

Edit 2: Then again, for completion sake- maybe remove carrisa and Knight Leader, replace them with Etzali and Terra to complete GROUP and God's Right Seat?
