In any case, I'm split between Taichi-Inaban and Taichi-Iori.

The way the story is poised, it'll likely be Aoki-Yui and a Inaban <-> Taichi <-> Iori situation.

Inaban is smarter and more talkative, but not more interesting: think of Iori's "Y125 a peek," or her background and emotional scenes with Taichi. She's an interesting person. As for the OP, they may be spoofing us, but it very much looks like Taichi grabbing Iori's hand. First, he is standing next to her, and we are looking from behind down the river. Second, the sweater sleeves are those colours: Taichi's a bit darker, and Iori's a bit lighter (there's just a tiny bit of it showing at the top of the handgrabbing frames). Also, her skin colour is a bit pinker than Inaban's, and the hand being grasped is slightly pink.

But I'm not shipping anyone in particular. Any combination would be interesting and enjoyable...and cause problems, lol.

I like Inaba as a fictional character, but no way would I want to know her in real life. She seems like a person who'd stab others in the back and whip her boyfriend.

I have no doubt physically that is happening. Because of the fact it most likely is a trolling OP, what if a body swap happened? For all we know, Aoki as Taichi grabbed Yui as Iori's hand.

Not that it matters, but are such assumptions even remotely valid in a show where, as of so far, people have been flipping through each other's bodies? Physically, it seems pretty obvious but damn if this show doesn't make that less than meaningful since you have no idea who's at the helm. Just take this last episode. Who kissed who? Well Iori and Taichi kissed but, by observation, you'd say Inaba and Taichi kissed. This show is even playing off of this silliness with Inaba's chuckle at the end of the episode. So... I'm going to play it safe and hold my cards.

... Cause for all we know, Taichi's grabbing Heartseed's hand because the two kick it off in the next few episodes with Taichi trying to solve all of his extraterrestrial problems. (In be for a xenomorph ends up getting involved somehow, and then a predator, and then they switch bodies. Oh the confusion!)

Well, the body switching stopped and I honestly doubt we'll get a new OP (it's just an opening that introduces the characters so you can use it with any arc). Also I agree that Taichi probably took Iori's hand, she's standing right next to him after all.
It would be hilarious if we had a Taichi-Iori-Heartseed love triangle, with Heartseed going deredere over Iori.
