The blind kid was exactly what the king needed.
Seems like he found himself a good opponent. Guess the kids' disability was actually an advantage here. The most interesting thing this time was their game. Well, at least it was for me. Morel & Cheetu intro fight has potential. That Morel seems to be a really smart guy. Always evaluating the situation before rushing in.

A set up episode with some lol worthy scenes and more classic Togashi strategic battles. I have a theory on what Komugi has to do with the plot, but I won't say yet for fear of spoiling...
And yeah! The manga is coming back! Might start reading it from the top soon. |

The only thought that keeps going through my head watching this series is that it just has no right to be this good for this long. I just love how unconventional Togashi is with his characters. Who would have thought he'd have the king battling it out in board games while everyone else is fighting? I love it.

The tongue emote can sometimes mean they're making fun of their own uninformedness.
Anyway I liked this episode. Cheetu's really interesting ability, combined with his naïvete. And Morel showing us a sample of how real nen users fight. Showing us that nen can very quickly become a mental exercise more than a physical one. |

Morel and Cheetu are playing a patience game.
So far it's just annoying.. King and the girl still at it as well. With all this playing around, I'm seriously longing for some fights. Luckily, things changed a bit in the second half of the episode.

Props to Morel. Showed how patience can really pay off. Of course helped immensely that his opponent was an idiot. Came up with an ability that could be used against him so easily.
The situation with the King is remaining all the more interesting. Certainly the first time he's just shut up and listened to someone. Most of the time he just slaps their heads off before they can finish saying anything. An interesting story though. Came up with this great move, it was harelled and everything, then instantly figured out how to kill it. The King is advancing pretty quickly though still isn't able to match up against his opponent. While he's getting obsessed things are getting unstable around him. Nice job sniping Flutter like that, though the dragonflies will remain in effect for about an hour. Overall a good episode.

I found the board game match to be more exciting than the battle with morel for some reason. The king has some catching up to do if he is about 10 years behind her, but i dont think he will ever beat her since her nen ability has something to do with the game while he is using pure mental prowess, and in most cases Nen>Physical
Also does anyone else think that cheetu has the potential of becoming a rival with Morel? He runs up to Morel "Hey i got stronger lets fight!" Gets beaten up "You will be sorry next time!" And the cycle continues until they become friends |
