They actually changed Ayaka's shadow -- in the manga, it was pretty obvious that there was a reptilian head where the end of her hair was supposed to be.
Also, funny how Dekomori seems to have disappeared, now that everything has actually fallen into place. And here's an implication I'd like EVERYONE to consider while we're at it: with Kazane powerless and her shield down, normal people are now vulnerable to injury due to magical attacks.

Awesome dream sequence. Seems like kid Kagari got visited by present day (or future?) Honoka that sets up their reunion in school. But why do neither have memories of each other before? Gotta be an explanation. XD
As for the plot, it's kinda meh. After all the insanity of the previous episodes, blowing up the entire city with a 'bomb' seemed kinda, what's the word, mundane I guess? Although it is interesting how Kagari and Honoka will defeat Weekend without the use of magic, when just before they mentioned how a impossible it is for a normal person to kill a witch.

Ahem. Those glasses.
The nurse outfit is one thing, but those glasses give + 100000x points to whatever look she's going for. Indeed, it's a pity that Honoka had a bit of a downgrade in terms of physique in the anime. I mean, others have already commented that he's actually good-looking enough; not to mention, I'm pretty sure Ayaka is perfectly ok with those abs. It's just that he lacks presence most of the time, especially when he's right beside a tall school idol like Ayaka. |

The abs in the manga were more like a joke rather than a testament to his abilities as a character. If he was portrayed to be a super strong fist fighter or someone that does work outs a lot or something of the sort, then yeah, it'll be off, but in this case no. I don't mind that JC Staff omitted that little detail, it's not a big deal, even if the manga does make a joke out of it later on.

From the author's own blog, here is what she had to say about physical vs magical durability of materials in WCW. Relevant as we just saw Ayaka and Honoka escape their cell.

It certainly would be nice to have more lore-specific info about how magic works in the WCW universe. Sounds like the author has made some notes for personal use in constructing the setting of the story.
It doesn't have to go 'beyond the call of duty' like Nasu's works, but more stuff like this in the anime and manga would just further flesh out an already colourful universe. |

decent episode.
things seem to be escalating for the final climax. No idea why the 5 Workshop Witch Sentai was so rough with Honoka, couldn't they just be "okay, stay here and hide for a bit" instead of kidnapping them and not telling them anyway. Still, these 5 seem to be way more dependable than the 5 tower witches counterparts lol.

Though they probably didn't need it with Kasumi. They should have just told her "we need to lock you in with your brother in a small, isolated room". She'd have gone along with that plan. |

Well, Ayaka actually has reason to go and fight - she's one of the strongest Workshop Witches they've got aside for her mother, who can't engage in a full-on battle for a very good reason. She blows up the 'Big Boss', hooray, crisis averted and she can go back to her lovey lovey highschool life with her boyfriend. She is still thinking like a young girl in this respect.
