Mirai Nikki (Series)
Confirmed at last for Fall 2011!
Pretty much the same team as the OVA, which most people seemed to hate but I thought was fine as what it was - a 10-minute teaser trailer. Asread, with Naoto Hosoda again directing. Much of the top staff seems to have carried over from their "Shuffle" adaptation. This is absolutely one of my favorite manga (whose US release appears to be orphaned by Tokyopop's demise) so I'm very excited for this. Few manga I can recall seem to lend themselves to anime adaptation better. There are relatively few manga properties that I really love and have fully read before an anime adaptation airs, so the potential for a letdown is personally huge - but I choose to remain positive.

I agree with you, didn't seem anything bad in that OVA pilot aside from the fact it was one giant tease. People seemed to get disappointed with it, and were maybe expecting at least one full episode. If there's anything I wish they'd change are the weird CG segments with Deus, but then again I think it might be intentional, so...
As for Hosoda, I like him. He worked on Shuffle!, I enjoyed that show (as opposed to the VISUAL novel) and it felt quite solid, in particular when considering the genre and time it was made. Horrible abominations popped up not so long after it, such as Yoake and Kono Aozora ni Yakusoku wo, and those just made me realize how much better I thought Shuffle! was. Besides, he's clearly got the yandere deal under control, right? All in all, good news. This year has some really strong titles getting adaptations, and Mirai Nikki is just another one joining the already large and promising list. If well done, here's another potential winner. I'm up for it!

I know. I just didn't specify because everyone knows it comes from an eroge.
But apparently not. So I'll go edit it. Derp. EDIT: For reference, I had no clues actual Shuffle! books existed. Actually learned something from this, lol.

Anime seems to be 2-cour. In other words, the anime will probably adapt all the way to the end? But please change the ending/that epilogue...
