Shana vs. Hisa scheduled for Oct. 29 to give the Flame Haze time to rest, according to what I see here.

Toki vs. Louise - Oct. 26
Saki vs. Nodoka - Oct. 27
Matsumi Showdown - Oct. 28

After the BBQ Shana is at best boned herself in the semi-finals by (possible eventual winner) again.

Or to put it poetically:
her first shall be her last
fade off your balance has been restored.

On the face of it, Hisa/Shana should be Shana's to take, but of course the Saki faction will be looking for 4 of 4.

I have no idea which of the Matsumi sisters the Faction will prefer. Yuu seemed the stronger earlier in the tournament, but the recent matches for both sisters were lacklustre.

I think Nodoka is stronger than Saki, but then again Saki has done better than I anticipated.

Louise is up against the Sakimoe 2012 Champion. 'nuff said.

Now that the matchups are set:

Toki > Louise (Assuming Toki wins, she would have to go through the original elite to advance to the finals)
Saki < Nodoka (A possible third semi-final appearance for Nodoka? Maybe)
Kuro < Yu (I want to see Kuro win, but Yu appears to be alittle stronger)
Shana > Hisa (The only Saki opponent I could see Shana winning against)

In the 1st match Louise will be having a hard time against Toki who is currently ranked 1st.
In the 2nd match, best friends Saki and Nodoka are competing against each other.
In the 3rd match, two sisters Kuro and Yuu are against each other.
In the 4th match, the club president Hisa is against Shana.

Would be interesting if the final is between Shana and Louise.

Shana actually has a chance of making it to the finals? Well, with the way things are going already, I am pretty sure the Saki fanbase wants the entire Top 4 to be Saki. Touki should easily defeat Louise unless Louise can pull off a big upset here. There is a good chance Nodoka is going to win over her best friend, but I can see people using Saki to make sure Nodoka does not make it to the semifinals three times. Between Kuro and Yuu, Kuro might be the winner due to voice actor factor. Hisa and Shana is a complete toss up. On paper, Shana should win, but again, the Saki faction may want an all Saki semi-final, of which, at this point, can easily happen.

Best case scenario:

Toki > Louise
Saki > Nodoka
Yuu > Kuro
Shana > Hisa

Toki > Saki
Shana > Yuu (I love both T________T)

Toki draws Shana in the finals and both win.

Sad that Matsumi sisters face each other in QF round instead of Final...

Prediction:
Louise > Toki: Just b/c I always pick Louise to troll
Nodoka > Saki: I don't think Saki is stronger than Nodocchi
Kuro > Yuu: Just b/c Kuro appear more. Yuu looks stronger but Group E is also weaker than F.
Shana > Bucchou: Shana should win this one easily.

Louise < Nodoka: Nodocchi did it once, she'll do it again
Kuro > Shana: Strong Saki girl is too much for Shana to handle.

Nodoka < Kuro: Aka will be another low vote final...

I tend to never trust them in anything, especially with random draw. But y'know what? Whatever.

*looks at the 2006 tournament block setup

what gives you the idea Saimoe has random drawings?

The committee wanted big matches, and they got it done.
I'm extremely pleased with these match-ups. Saki vs. Nodoka is a yuri wet dream (and while I agree that Nodoka will likely win it, I also think it'll be close). Toki should take care of the one girl left that I'm not that fond of. Hisa vs. Shana should actually be competitive and give Shana a real chance to go a bit further. Kuro/Yuu has a nice sister vs. sister element to it.

These are really the best match-ups possible out of the 8 quarterfinalists we have, imo. Very good to see!

They have the chance for Nodoka vs Saki that they wanted since 2009 (and were denied by Nagi. resulting in the Nodoka rampage against all things KugiRei, only missing Taiga), so they are going to take it before another ReiTsundereLoli gets between them again.

Woohoo! Perfect! Do I get a reward?

At least the match-ups make me happy since one of Saki and Nodoka will be gone by the semis. The downside is one will still be around.

Since I'll be going on vacation and missing out the rest of this year's tourney, might as well throw some darts at the board.

Picks: Toki, Saki, Kuro, Hisa, Toki, Kuro, Kuro
Predictions: Toki, Saki, Yuu, Shana, Toki, Yuu, Toki

Signing out.

My Top 8 (before the draw was announced):
Best End: Shana
Okay End: Kuro, Yuu
Neutral End: Louise, Toki
Meh End: Saki, Nodoka
Worst End: Hisa (only got this far due to luck of the draw)

Saki vs Nodoka, Kuro vs Yuu. Seems the admins "drew" some mildly interesting matches to try to shore up the voting totals a bit.

Apparently, things have a tendency to go your way for QF draws.

Saki vs Nodoka is now a dream of yours come true - and mirrors last year's Sayaka vs Madoka, your other dream come true.
