I don't think he's going to be a king. Rereading the manga again made me realise that this is a war between High elves and Dark elves over who gets to rule the world and they have dragged every other race into their squabble. Sasuga Elves and judging from my reread Kai will help the High elves rise to supremacy over the dark elves.

The one who did Qwaser is back, i didnt like the later parts of the previous story because it just became a mess but the mangaka isnt that bad. Certainly worth a shot even if its a isekai.
