It's because people sympathize with her, and the decapitalizing scene is probably one hell of a meme by now. And it was probably the first OMG-scene that clearly proved the deconstruction to be what it is.

I mean, considering all the Homunyan fanart it seems plausible. Not to mention it's black. And it explains Homura's attachment to Madoka. IT ALL MAKES SENSE.
