Hinata Inn Blueprints
I am trying to construct a Lego model of Hinata Inn...you know, that love hina place.
However, browsing thru the anime the manga for building pics isn't quite effective. I will need stuff that are more detailed...lol. I heard that a person has drawn up a blueprint of Hinata Inn and posted it somewhere on the net... Does anyone know where I can get this? URL? Thanks! |

I dunno about the english version, but the french one of the mangas has all the blueprints of Hinata inn. I don't think you'd need more then that. Just go out and buy the mangas... I can't tell wich one, but it's between volume 1 and 5.. and they are at my friend's house right now. If you already knew about those in the manga. Sorry but I can't help.

French manga by Pika Edition book 2: at the back of the volume there are a number of blueprints of Hinata Inn in top, side and front view.
Also this site has alot of pictures of the places the Hinata Inn was based on, might be of help http://www2u.biglobe.ne.jp/~clown/lovehina/model.htm (It's in japanese but just click the links) |

Mr Paper and Kyolux... uh... i wonder if it would be too much of a bother if i asked you to scan the blueprints for me?? please? because an overhead diagram would be SWEET for lego designing.. 7thMethuselah... thanks for that URL! i was totally when i saw those images! and about su-chan's room... i will stick to just planting a few lego trees. lol. drawer tunnel... |

Okay.
First I'll apologize to the people with slow connections, according to Photoshop it'll take a full minute for a 56K user to load each image. Sorry, but I made them large and high quality. Second, nearly all text in the images is in Japanese and they label the individual buildings. I'll post the images as links so they don't take up the entire page and result in a great deal of scrolling. ^^; The overview of the first scanned page: http://server6.uploadit.org/files/MrPaper-Overview.jpg The top view of the Hinata-sou grounds: http://server6.uploadit.org/files/MrPaper-Topview.jpg The front view of the buildings: http://server6.uploadit.org/files/MrPaper-Frontview.jpg Lastly, the elevational view of the builds and the hillside they reside on: http://server6.uploadit.org/files/Mr...levational.jpg I'll post more images as I scan them. |

Okay...
After skimming several (read: nine) volumes of the manga I was pretty much unable to find any images that gave specific details as to the architecture of the building. Most images that might have been usefull tended to be covered by characters or speach bubbles. On top of that, it would seem the most illustrated portion of the building is the entrance way and outdoor bath. >.>; http://server6.uploadit.org/files/Mr...ont_detail.jpg For other sources the artbooks might be worth a try, although I remember them mostly being filled with character images, or even rewatch the television series a couple times with a sketch book handy. Take notes and make quick sketches of important details. Personally, I'd stick to doing the exterior and forget about the interior where it's not needed. |

Whoa... Mr Paper... you went to the extent of reading thru 9 volumes of love hina just for me? thanks, man!
i admit i didnt expect you to do something that extreme... wow...lol... thanks! i will take your advice and stick to the exterior... interior might be a pain in the behind. once i collect enough hundred-dollar bills i will buy the lego pieces online... and once i finish my planning i will start the building... and once i am done the building i will take some pics and post it. when might that be? i say, five years. seriously speaking... bleh. i hope to see you guys in the forum some years from now! lol.. . i will make a welcome back thread for the hinata inn lego project. hmm.. as Mr Paper said... artbooks... Anyone have access to those artbooks.. and a scanner handy? lol... |
