I can't wait to see what Ant-Man and Wasp were doing before the events of IW.

So, can I assume Ant-Man didn't die in Infinity Wars?
Haven't seen it yet, waiting for my brother to get a schedule opening.

I liked it, never cared for Janet in the comics but Evangeline Lily may just make me like the character.
Curious about the vilainess, maybe Marvel has decided to anwer my plead, which was.

Can we please stop the trend of symetrical fights where the hero and the villain have similar powers?

Who knows what'll happen, but I doubt they are killing off Ant-Man in his own post-credit scene. Hank Pym? Yeah, I could see that. Very likely the post-credit scene will be connected to the finger snap. But think they kept characters out of infinity war so they could use them in the next one. If you want to make characters disappear in order to give personal emotional stakes to Avengers 4 then dusting Hank would do that for Lang and Hope.

So i just saw the movie and it was funny and great.

Spoiler for the movie:

It seems there's a theme where a lot villains fighting Scott were the result of Hank's jerkass behavior that lead or created these villains.
The part where Janet temporary took over Scott's body to speak with her husband and daughter was hilarious.
Luis' long winded stories makes a come back.
And this might be the second MCU film where the heroes save the villain.
And we learn where Antman was during the events in infinity War....let's just say it changes the movie's mood fast.

Bill Foster may get him out assuming he didn't get snapped.
Those quantum particles they were collecting were for Ghost and since Bill is taking care of her and are waiting for the particles to be given to them, he may realize something has happened to Pym and co.
Question is, how will he figure out their last location (the roof top).

Finally got a chance to go see it...and yeah it was pretty fun .

As a whole it felt like the kind of movie needed after Infinity War and one that very much fit with these characters.

I think they did a better job this time with the antagonists for the movie. Ghost worked since she was a mixed bag. She wasn't out to cause mass havoc, but she was terribly desperate. Not a good person. In her darkness she was entirely willing to pull a Yellow Jacket and go after Cassie. But it balanced out in having Bill working with her and serving as a sense of conscience. He reigned her in just enough for others to step in when he couldn't stop her. But in the end she was just in agony and people in pain do reckless things.

It does leave things in an interesting place. She needs help to continue remaining stable, and is more or less an 'ally'. Interesting places they could take things with her and even have her powers return if they can't track down Ant-Man in the quantum realm.

In a sense I like how there wasn't an exact 'big bad' for the movie. Ghost and Bill were threats, but they didn't have any grand goal. Just trying to stabilize that girl's health. The 'black market guys' had more dangerous goals, but they didn't have any special weapons besides contacts in the FBI. And the police itself was a threat thanks to those darn Accords.

As a whole I also like the dynamic with Wasp and Ant-Man. Those two work. Their relationship wasn't a major focus in the film, just something running through it. Understandably she was a bit pissed about him going off to fight with "Cap" and that causing nothing but trouble for Hope and Hank.

I am curious to see how they build off this and Infinity War. Will Bill and Ghost get Ant-Man out? Are they even safe from the snap? Will Ant-Man use those 'temporal vortexes' to time travel to the past or future? He's going to have limited options.

But yeah, I had fun. It was a fun movie that didn't try to be world shifting. The last MCU movie handled that part. I expected some laughs, some silly storytelling by Luis, some shrinking tech fun, and some likable characters. Got all that.
