Apparently. Atleast I loled everytime someone said "I have control" (and I still need to finish Betterman)
I watched the first episode and really liked it. It was quirky and cool. Main seiyu are good. I like the protagonists voice. Also Jun Fukuyama as a maniacal (and borderline suicidal) AI works very well. Who else went "WTF" when Imo showed her real body? LOL Even the manga is making fun of seiyu connections?

I'm pretty much interrested in this anime. Is any other people do? Info : http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...e.php?id=10272 The only fansub that has ever relase something about this anime yet is "Strikesub". It was only the trailer. *sigh* :| P.S This anime does not have a thread apparently...

It's being discussed in the Unaired forum.
Though since the first episode got out, I'd say if it continues with only 50% zany Lelouch robot in the episode my interest will start to die out. Unless of course it's there nearly all the time. |

(He would probably be like the big floating head in USA Power rangers.) And I don't mind the first-half; the display of how people travel from one part of the space station to another is rather interesting. (And so far I have found both the classic X-box+controller(9:02) and the Sega Megadrive (9:11) amongst the floating Space-junk. There are probably others.) EDIT: Is Nina Stratoski a lesbian? She was reading a magazine's centerfold section containing a woman in a bikini...(10:29) Double EDIT: Classic NES game system located after the Space Station warped out! (21:41) Triple Edit: It seems humanity has mostly moved out of Earth and relocated to the 5 Lagrange points, because Earth could no longer support the population+environmental damage. The idea is for the Planet to recover slowly this way. There was attempts to move to the moon or Mars, but the health effects of low gravity on the Moon and the long travel distance of Mars makes both not that attractive. Finally it was determined that the terra-forming required for an atmosphere and radiation protection was not worth the effort, so they instead settled for building mass space-stations orbiting Earth. The Nations of the world formed into groups and created new countries at each Lagrange Point. L1: China and India. (Why do I think it is the most crowded of all Space station nations?) L2: Both North and South Americas. L3: EU, Russian Federation, and every nation in-between them. L4: Africa, Middle-East, Israel(!) WHAT!!!! Israel is intentionally sharing the same Space Station area with the rest of the Middle-East? Oh, well, perhaps Obama magically solved the MiddleEast tension somehow. Or more likely, there isn't any land to fight over at the moment so there is a truce. They will probably go back to killing each other when Earth become habitable again. L5 is where the main character lives. It is composed of Japan, all other smaller Asian nations, and Australia. (YEAH Australia!!!)

Well, I can't say I understood that much of the first episode but it was quite hilarious nevertheless. The dramatic fall towards the earth was poking fun at the Gundam franchise and all the weird junk in space was a hilarious reference to Planetes. And Fukuyama Jun has a role in which he can be as theatrical as he wants without sounding ridicuous (as in most "dramatic" scenes in Code Geass). If they can add a bit of yuri and kill a cute macot or two we might have a winner here.

L2: Hrmmm.... I guess? L3: RUSSIA!? With the rest of Europe? EU w/ the US makes more sense. L4: Israel would have gone w/ the US. Something weird must have happened. L5: Greater Co-Prosperity Sphere? Ah Japan, you do realise the rest of the world still remembers your ambitions and mistakes in WWII right? |

Well, one has to remember they are living on a Spacestation now. There is no LAND to conquer. If you want more living space, you just build more modules. Ambitions mean nothing if all you got is emptiness of Space. Things will get messy, of course, when Earth become habitable again hundreds of years later. When that happens, the land-grab will cause a new war to break out.

In space it's worse for different reasons.
As the populace expands, demands for water and raw material will get greater, unless strict population controls are in place. BUT WHO CARES EH? This is a zany cartoon, with a space hulk Lelouch, and not Gundam 00. |

I'm glad this is turning out to be a troll series rather than anything serious a la Gundam 00. Sunrise hasn't had decent writing since BONES left.
On another note, I think Sunrise overestimates the Xbox. That piece of junk will barely survive 20 years let alone last long enough to become space junk. |

Even if it were inferior specs-wise, it's all about the games man, and Xbox has a lot of fun games. |
