You can get the Beatrice and Maria dollfies on taobao for.. pretty much cheaper than any other site, since it's Chinese eBay. You just have to use a shopping service.

how do you know how much the item costs its says 50.00 does that mean 50 usd or jpy? and which shopping service do u use? and where does it say when the item ends

taobao is in yuan, so you can look up "yuan to dollar" (or whatever you want to convert it to) on google. When I've ordered from there, I used taobaospree. There are a lot of shopping services though, so just look up reviews.
From what I could tell, it doesn't seem to be an auction exactly.. More of just a shop. Here are some of the dollfies:

As an example of how this works..

At the very top, a seller will probably have hearts or diamonds under their name. Hearts are good, diamonds are better. the more of either they have, the more good sales they made. Also, you can highlight over their name for a thing that'll tell you percentages. Use google chrome so it'll translate the pages too, it'll really help.

They have a 100% feedback and sold 49 items so far. That sounds fine.

Read the description as best as you can, or ask the shopping service to tell you what it includes. It's generally anything in the pictures.
The shopping service will also ask any questions you need them to ask, or send any info.

The doll there is 3000 rmb (yuan), no shipping cost. This is your first payment to the shopping service, and will be about $477. After you pay, they buy the item and it gets shipped to them. Then they weigh it and tell you how much the shipping will be to get to you, which I can't say since it's based on weight. :< It probably wouldn't be more than $30 at most for that particular item. You also pay a fee for using them of about 8% or so of the total order cost.

Ordering from taobao works best when ordering multiple things too.

If anyone's interested, the tag for Umineko no Naku Koro ni is 海猫鸣泣之时. It eventually gets a lot easier to pick out character names from searching that and testing the titles of some items.

This is also a great way to get cosplay items for much cheaper than by the same seller on eBay. I got a full costume/shoes/wig/doll/petti for the average cost of just the costume and MAYBE a wig on eBay.

Here is some of my FanimeCon loot as well. The book is actually a fanbook by a group of Chinese fan artists. It's called "Dying in a Circle" and comes with a cover and a Higurashi and Umineko book of illustrations inside.

Hmm, finally got my copy of Answer to the golden witch and so far it's pretty impressive.

If I got any freetime on my hand, I might think of translating the interview with Ryûkishi in it...if nobody else has done so by now. He answers some really important questions and...I like his general stance towards Umineko as a means of expression.

And nice to know that he only told Ohara Sayaka about the truth behind Beatrice. That explains why her performance fit so well.

It's a sort of published idea of a solution by a reader of Umineko, though this one is in contact with Ryûkishi. I agree with some of his ideas, some are quite brilliant and he really goes indepth with the analysis...though I do not completely agree with his solution to EP3. But it's actually one of the few analysis' which incorporates everything into the equation.
There are some great illustrations in there, too. But the most important thing for me is a 30page interview with Ryûkishi, where he talks about his general idea of what Umineko is about, reveals some of the tricks, talks about the definition of mystery, locked rooms and the murders in general.

I could think about that, though that has to wait until the weekend, because my scanner is out and I have to do that in the university library.

EDIT: Because the scanners wouldn't work and I didn't want to take my book apart I did it now.
