Does your real name have meaning?
I found out a little while ago that my christian name has a meaning in Japanese (completely incidental though, not something my parents actually decided on). My name is Ben, which means Dialect (Kansai-ben for example).
As for my last name, it means Matt-maker in German (I'm English BTW). So what do your names mean? Last edited by Radiosity; 2007-04-25 at 16:12. |

My names Maik, which is a short form of Michael.
According to that site, its also the name of some archangel who is the leader of heavens army ... I thought that was Kenny. It means "who is like God?", which doesnt make any sense at all. So my name is really a question, that noone knows the answer of... Hm... maybe, as my name is the short form, I could translate it as "God?". well, yes Oh, and for the japanese meaning: as japanese tend to add an 'o' to every word that ends with a consonant, that would make me Maiko. Which is a geisha in training (!) according to this site! omg I think ill go as Michael, if I ever come to Japan. |

My first name, 'Nicholas,' means victory. I think it also has something to do with leadership. My last name, 'Earls,' could mean I am either related to an Earl, or, more likely, someone in my ancestry was an Earl's servant.

Thanks to Keios, that link was handy. I've just found out that Ben means Son in Hebrew as well.

Adam- it means original man. Why my mom picked names out of the bible, I do not know.
My last name has no meaning, it was changed to Vite when my great great grandfather came to Ellis Island from Italy. I think it used to be something like Vitelli or Vitello (they come from the word vita meaning "life"), but I was never able to track down our real name. |

Plus I think I've seen a crappy Thor-movie a couple of years ago (like 15 years ago or something). A lot of my friends in the early 80s had He-man action figures. Not me, though. My parents thought this might make me value men-muscles and homo-eroticism .. just kidding |
