Also just watched the last episode. I thought the story was strong until they got nearer to the end and it seemed everything slowed down?
Technically the whole GGP and Grimoire situation ended with one phonecall...I might have missed it, but did they say who called to order the retreat? Although all parts were woven together (police+reporter exposing the core GGP bribery, ggp officers not wanting to be part of the current tactics, Rin wanting to figure out what the light was), it just seems some of the scenes did not make any sense to me. Still a very good show, which I enjoyed. |

The solicitations for the first two DVDs are out, and for those like me looking for a soundtrack release, it will be bundled with the first, coming on the 24th this month. Just a week more!
Darn DVD soundtrack releases catching on, though it should be more economically viable. |

Yeah that was announced sometime last month. Shame i don't have to money to order the first Limited DVD (just the soundtrack). Do hope they'll release the actually soundtrack at some point, stand alone.
Do wonder how they'll label the artist for the Pictures at an Exhibition piece. Should be the original composer, Modest Petrovich Mussorgsky.

Damn, so I am the slow one.
My hopes of them actually releasing the standalone soundtrack aren't too high though. Yeah, that piece should be labelled with its original composer if it's not in the public domain. Got lots of precedents for that to follow. |

My copy just arrived. CDJapan shipped Friday (via EMS) and it got to my doorstep (U.S. East Coast) Monday. First time I've done business with them, not a bad service.
Don't know if I'll bother with the next release but wanted to do something to show my appreciation for the series. |

All the tracks that I've been waiting for are in, so I'm pretty much satisfied, if nothing else. I'm pretty sure you'd be as well. To think the canon spelling of Kiefer would be like that. |

Just wish the tracks were a little longer - longest is 3:10 and half of them are under 2 minutes. Guess that's not too unusual for an anime soundtrack though. |

Listening to the soundtrack now. Glad most of the up-beat techno pieces are there --- i liked them a lot. Shame they've only added two versions of Pictures at an Exhibition, though saying that i do have the piece on a few different soundtracks from over the years, so it doesn't really matter much. But still, it would have been nice to have on this release.

Surely with this we have Wada's very impressive entry (IMO) into anime scores. Googling him, I found that he has a few eroge credits prior to this, including the Yoake Mae(yeah that cabbage) game OST, though he's now doing some mainstream games as well, Arkanoid DS being an example.
Having heard none of his work till now, I look forward to his further forays in this field. |
