I'm only worried for the number of the epi, with only 3 for now you think that probably are only 12-13 epi?

Yay, they are animating this. I don't know, I like the Railgun plot more then the Index plot. Then again, Railgun is what introduced me to Index.

Wow, I'd have to say that I'm surprised, but not surprised; after all, Railgun is the better than Index despite it being the 'spinoff'. And no chances of Touma always getting his ass kicked >_>. Honestly, I really hated that.

I seems to remember Touma ended up in hospital in Rail Gun as well, then again it could be novel short stories.

Still can't wait for Kuroko Onee sama action.

Railgun hasn't really changed any of the main events of Index, as far as I know. It just shows them from a different perspective (and adds its own stuff, rewrites the dialog a bit, etc). So far it's all taken place before and during the first arc of Index, and you can even match up Touma's appearances with what he was doing at the time (ie: battle on the bridge where Mikoto breaks the city's ACs, followed by another meeting the next day where he complains about self-proclaimed magicians ruining his morning). So if he ends up in the hospital, it's probably the same hospital visit rather than "as well."

It really makes me wonder how they'll handle to Accelerator arc, which would presumably be when the stories converge. I really don't want to see another Touma lecture... Maybe they'll just skip it, but you'd think it'd have a noticeable effect on Mikoto, so they can't really skip it for narrative purposes. Then again, they already animated it. Hmm.

*has a fanboy attack*

Maybe if this hits the screens fast enough we can screen Railgun for our club's Tsundere Week!

You can already screen the Accelerator arc from Index if it doesn't.

Speaking of which, do we have an estimated air date?

I think all we have for now is the announcement they made when the last episode of the Index anime ended (plus a mysterious flier that people considered untrustworthy). I read somewhere that there'd be more details coming in the next issue of the magazine that the manga is published in, which would be on March 27th. Not sure if they'll any news between now and then.

Yeah we are, but Liingo might be leaning towards the first few (BORING) episodes. Case in point not to and jump straight to the Accelerator arc: Today, a fresher saw me watching episode 23, and asked me, "Does it get better after episode 4?"

My answer: "Watch for background, then gogo Accelerator."

Lingo-sachou, onegai.

I know what you mean, if it weren't for the biri-biri army joke in Cadia that opened the discussion on To Aru, I wouldn't have continued watching after the boring Memory arc ended myself.

For me, it was the convos in IRC about a Biribiri clone army and Lowe mentioning a tsundere I knew not of. For the sake of my title Tsundere Master, I pushed on...

...and Biribiri somehow unseated Rin from top spot ever since.

Judging from the material they got(3 Volume= 1Arc=1Novel plus some short story that come with Blu-ray), may be it's a 12-13 Eps short season.
As for the air date summer season(July) is the most suitable time, since it will end in September and continue with Index Season 2 in fall season.

Kurogane's blog got me interested in Biri-biri and the series, but Touma's gar moments are awesome IMO.

Should I bother with the Index animu or just go straight ahead into Railgun?
