Maybe he put her there as a place holder and I don't know why Rey isn't on there; even though he's just a clone and basically Rau 1.5 or 2.0 but not as good.

Lunamaria is considered a major character in the series, even if she has little to no backstory.

And that's why she ranked last.

It was small iirc it was a picture montage of her, auel, sting as kids. stabbing people stuff like that don't remember if there was more. at least its more than what Hawke sisters got

I though Rey Za Burrel would have more backstory than Stella because there was a few flashbacks about him, Rau and Durandal and Stella has only one.

It is quite annoying that we know so little about Lunamaria other than that she joined ZAFT a long with her sister when Shinn did and that she became his best friend a long with Rey as the trio ended up as ZAFT Reds.

Yeah they could've have told some backstory about her in the academy with Shinn, Meyrin and Rey

That might be a suitable subject for one those side projects, but not for the series itself.

A few of the audio drama's DID in fact go into their time at the academy. But it was just generic school stuff, nothing shocking or anything.

The point being Luna has no interesting backstory. She had a regular happy childhood and then joined Zaft. There were no tragedies in her past, nor did she grow up in an unsual way, nor was she the child of someone important so she grew up in the spotlight of Plant like Lacus of Athrun. Her life was totally ordinary (or as ordinary as a genetically enhanced super woman living in space could be) until the story started.

Indeed, and that's just fine. Not all characters need a backstory.

As much as I hate some of the things Kira does and says in Destiny I do accept that he was a total bro for stopping that wedding and giving Athrun's ring back to Cagalli.

Funny how jealous Shinn was in the early episodes when Lunamaria started spending time with Athrun over him. Though that panty shot of Lunamaria wasn't needed.... Japan is so crazy about that stuff, huh?

Shinn is an idiot anyways never liked his loud mouth angry attitude but was alright with him if he wasn't screaming like a guy on drugs or feel like he is a bigshot and about Japan being crazy with panty shot lol.

A Gundam show must have a backstory for every single secondary character and his mom.. And it needs to be polluted with random character arcs that no one could flying fu*k about! Otherwise, the show ain't UC enough.. it ain't gritty enough, bro.
