From pictures of the back cover and various other sources, it seems that Rose Guns Days has a unique release structure.
Rose Guns Days Season 2 contains: Season 1 Chapters 1-7 Season 2 Chapters 1-3 If you played the Season 1 release, you'll know there were only 5 chapters. Chapters 6 and 7 for Season 1 are brand new to this release. |

Is already known how many games are to be expected for "Rose Guns"? It isn't part of the "When They Cry" series, is it? However, the release structure (including previous chapters seems to be like that series, in contrast to Higanbana).
Btw. I just noticed (not really that important but I thought I would mention it) but shouldn't the news date at the following page for the Rose Guns Demo be in 2012: http://witch-hunt.com/news.html |

According to Witch Hunt's site, the translated of RGD is at 100%. Whoa, that was fast. Last week it was 58%, yesterday was 85% and now it is 100%.
Now, to wait for it to be released after being properly edited.

Indeed it does. However, the previous release (Season 1) doesn't actually contain the whole of Season 1. Therefore, to get the whole of Season 1, you need Season 2. I'm not sure if Season 2 contains the whole of Season 2, though.
Yes, I know it doesn't really make sense, but all that matters is that the CD in the picture contains the whole of Season 1 and at least part of Season 2.

Just as a note, you won't have to worry about the complexities in the game itself. When you go to start the game, just like with Umineko and Higurashi, there's a Season select. However, the Seasons correspond to the game releases.
So if you choose Season 1, you'll play the initial release from August (Chapters 1-5) and if you choose Season 2, you'll play the latest release (Chapters 6-7 for S1 and Chapters 1-3 for S2). For story and gameplay reasons, I like the way RGD is structured and I think it'll be easier to adapt to/understand by the time Season 3, 4, etc. are released. |

So let's see if I understand it:
Each CD has five new chapters. The seasons have a variable number of chapters. Season 1 has seven chapters total, and Season 2 has at least 3. So CD1 has the first five chapters of Season 1 and CD2 has the remaining chapters of Season 1 and some of Season 2. Still don't understand why they wouldn't add everything in a single CD, but what they're doing makes sense... somehow.
