Does anyone have a copy of Space Cat Full House? Or any knowledge if it has a alternate title? I really want to know more about it. Cause it sounds interesting. And I can't find any info about Master Ran. Maybe that one has an alternate title also.

Dracula: Sovereign of the Damned: Ancient comic adaption.
Gunpla Builders: No one seems to be watching this. School City Varanoir: Idea Factory trash with an overwhelming yashigani level. Takarajima: Treasure Island adaption. Relic Armor Legaciam: Incomplete mecha story. The rarest one I own a copy of is undoubtly Ninja Resurrection. I have it on VHS. |

Somewhere I have old VHS tapes of some anime caught off the sci-fi channel. Some of the ones on the tapes that I don't recall ever seen being re-released on DVD are:
EYES of Mars and LILY cat; Robot Carnival was probably the most unique and I do own a chinese knock-off of it, but I've never found the english dub (which was a great dub).

I guess the rarest anime I watched would be Alien Nine. Five episodes long and incredibly difficult to understand, I've rarely found any fellow fans that have watched this. I've also read (and own) the original three volume manga released by ADV (I think) and a friend of mine owns the Emulators special (which I will get from her someday to complete the set). Apparently both manga and anime are hard to find. I'd recommend it for anyone who wants to speculate and debate about anime.
Besides that, I've also seen the entire series of Petite Princess Yucie which was released in a box set by ADV or Geneon, can't remember which, awhile back. It's nothing incredibly spectacular but it is fun to watch. I think Hare+Guu could be considered a rare anime as well. I've seen all three seasons (two of which on DVD but the last was never released in it's entirety ). But it seems like no one I've talked to knows what it is. I'd recommend it though, especially the English dub if you can find it.

The rarest thing I've seen is probably Je t'aime which is a short music video directed by Mamoru Oshii.
Other than that I've watched Gosenzosama Banbanzai! which was also directed by Oshii, Robot Carnival which a few people have brought up in this thread already and Twilight of the Cockroaches which is the only example of an anime featuring live action footage with animation (ie. in the style of 'Who Framed Roger Rabbit?"). Lucky Star "rare"? I think some people need to look up the definition of "rare."
Quote:
As the wiki entry states, "this series deviates from more conventional magical girl themes in that it addresses topics that are for a more mature audience, such as child abuse, eating disorders, and possibly misanthropy." I was drawn to Uta-Kata because I stumbled upon an image of Minatsu and she captivated me. But, I found Ichika to be one of the most brutally honest and endearing protagonists I've ever seen. Her inner conflicts makes the series stand out from the oh-so-cliche typical offerings.
