Fictional technologies that you like to have in real life

There are lots of technologies from manga/anime that do not exist in real life (yet), but it would be cool to see and have in real life. If you can bring these technological advancements in real life, what will it be?

I would personally love to have persocom (from chobit), a computer that will fullfill fantasy of many people yet useful at the same time.

Or at least something useful like the compact rebreather (size of a palm) for underwater exploration, such as the ones in pokemon series

Household androids, for one.

After that... maybe BakaTest's Exam Summoning Battle system would be nice.

Yeah, android tech... but more likely just adequate replacement biotech for the body parts.

On second thought, a Yuu Watase thread re-integrator is a fictional device, right?

'cuz I could use one of those right now.

the weird-ass architecture in futuristic anime, always love those

to give recent examples: Infinite Stratos, Madoka Magica (you get the point)

then gundams, absolutely

no time travel, butterfly effect will kick your ass

There are only a few things in the world better than Mecha...

How about owning your own Doraemon complete with all the gadgets? No?

Then perhaps I'd want Matrix-like internet: You can dive to a virtual world complete with your 5 senses from anywhere anytime for as long as you like, being careful not to starve yourself in the process. And internet pages come directly in your retinas and musics play directly to your ears when IRL.

Space elevator, FTL Travel, terraforming, planet/asteroid cracking (a la Dead Space and Eve Online), quantum physics based communications (that helps dealing with astronomic distances, so my great-many-times-grand children can troll people from Alpha Centauri Gliese whatevernumbers on the future equivalent of spaceweb), cold fusion and energy sci-fi tech (like anti-matter), the tools from Dead Space and cyber/nano enhancements that helps with it. All the rest can wait as long as humanity can GO TO SPACE AND BEYOND. I want my motherfucking Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri future tech and Alien series' Colonial Space Marines to be reality!

This, all the way. When we were watching it, my friends and my initial reaction to Tachikomas was "I want one".

Definitely the technology required to directly connect the brain to a machine.

Efficient matter-antimatter reactors is a close second.
