Freaking hilarious. I'm hoping for a spin-off based on the other teams now, but I doubt they could be as funny.

It seems there have been more chapters coming out recently; currently up to five
I really got to say That I have a lot of fun with this little spin off.

Y'know i don't know what's funnier/stupider... Lee suing the thousnad years of pain, the enemy actually being prepared for such an attack, or that the enemy was prepared because kakashi's father once used it on him long ago... "Its a goddamn lie!" Ah hilarity

Anyway.. this manga is probably my favorite running manga right now. I mean.. just holy crap is Lee, in a comedic format, really funny. :<

Also, older thread is old..er. o.o Needs more discussion on this!

i agree with katsumara!
i love this manga, rock lee vs neji was so funny (i really laughed with lee's byakkugan) and also the kakashi chapter (neji's final jutsu: the byakusharingan!)

what surprised me is ten ten's character, now i wish her to appear more in naruto manga

It is really funny. My new favorite is the chapter with Lee preparing Naruto and Konohamaru for the chuunin exams. Lee's versions of Rasengan are hilarious!

The last two chapters have been the best of the series. I think RLSOY works best when it also showcases the rest of the Konoha 11. The Team Gai comedy bits started getting stale after about 5 chapters. I found myself laughing at this issue when Lee and Neji tried to mimic Shikamaru and Choji. And the last issue with Hinata.

Yup its official, Rock Lee is getting a spin off =p

Loved the 4th wall breaking jokes in the most recent chapter
Though instead of side characters aspiring to be as strong as main characters, i would have preferred pointing out that a side character can aspire to have a HUGE FANBASE. I mean who cares about being a main character when you have a large fanbase that loves you all the same... Hell Rock Lee managed to use his fanbase to transcend his side character status into becoming the main character in a non-canon spinoff!

The thing is Rock Lee doesn't have a huge fanbase. He isn't that popular in Japan. In the last popularity poll he was 20th. He was behind Temari and Iruka. If you were going to do a spinoff based on a side characters popularity it would be about the Akatsuki, Gaara, Minato, or Shikamaru.

Lee was chosen because Saikyou Jump is for kids and he is the most goofy character among the Konoha kids.

This chapter made me smile from start to finish. Unlike Kishimoto's manga which just gives me a headache. 1010 4 main heroine!

This chapter even had freaking ShikaTema in it! That alone makes it Hall of Fame worthy and pure awesome.

Hopefully Kishi was reading.

I've been watching these recently.. and I LOVE them.

I couldn't stop laughing.. it really brings me back to the reason why I love these characters so much.. especially Rock Lee who is my favourite ever since the Chunin exams. It doesn't matter how much they break out sexy no jutsu.. cracks me up every time.

The anime is top draw for this and everything is well paced, no stupid boring scenes like the real Naruto anime DBZ style. I also like how they brought on foreign music groups to do the OP & ED, Animetal & Secret do some great songs.

I hope the author does more!
