Yeah, 6pm broadcast... Which is actually worse than, say, BLEACH and Naruto's, both of which have primetime broadcasts, both have significantly higher TV ratings and both being ongoing shows are even MORE recent than GSD, but both faring worse in this poll...

You're not being fair by including Naruto inside it, since it has aired for quite a while.

Let's see..... Bleach, Eyeshield 21, Yakitate Japan, all which have higher ratings than GSD, and most of these series are very well recieved by the internet fanbase, and has a solidified manga fanbase in Japan.......and yet none touches the polls. Hiruma should've been in the coolest character polls.

I still can't consider Shinn to be very dark at all. Misled, certainly, but even in the cop-out ending he had his reasons and they could be understood.

Shinn isn't dark. He's angst on two legs. He's too stupid to be dark. You want dark? Vegeta, Illidan Stormrage, Magus (Chrono Trigger), Akuma (perhaps), Iago (Honest Iago, not Jafar's parrot Iago), and Hamlet are dark characters.

I don't think dark means what you people seem to think it does in this context. Look at the list of characters. Rukia? Dororo? Ren? I think the word you're looking for here is likely melancholic.

Actually, I am being fair. Both the Naruto anime and Gundam Seed started on the same month: October 2002 (within days of each other, even). So if Kira & Athrun & co. constitute as "recent", then so does Naruto.

Other then the newcomer poll, the rest don't make any sense. There had to be a lot more series out then the ones that were voted for. The whole thing is sad really. I understand it's a popularity poll but even with that I still don't understand why these votes like these characters so damn much, especailly when taking the SEED Destiny versions.

Is it so hard to swallow the fact that only the smarks hate Destiny, not the general audience Sunrise wants to appeal to?

People go blabbering on how GSD only got it's million DVD sales because it's Gundam. If GSD was really as horrible as claimed by a lot of people here, no idiot, even otakus will spend that much money to buy DVDs that will mentally scar their brain.

For every one internet fan who likes Destiny, there's ten internet fans who hate it, and one hundred non-internet fans who love it.

Most heroic, I would only agree with Alphonse and Syaoran. Every other character, even if they did a so called heroic action in their series, I don't consider it heroic enough to be part of the most heroic characters. Doesn't mean you do something heroic your the most heroic out of everyone else.

I thought there was a typo or something and that category was something to do with being a heroine with the amount of females on the list. But since Alphonse and Syaoran are there... thinking about it maybe it's a list for the most self-sacrificing. (Doesn't explain why almost 1000 people voted for Lunamaria though..)

LOL at Ren, Rukia, Dororo and Athrun being a 'dark' character.

I think it might have something to do with the movie plot, from what I've read for spoilers for the film (questionable plot twist for Roy - at least I've seen comments by fans questioning the plot twist ).

Personally, I thought Neo/Mu was rather hot when he had the long hair (and without it as just Mu but that wouldn't be this years awards ) . I also blinked at the "Most Heroic Character Award" catagory because I thought Al from FMA was the only guy on it but its nice to find out there is another guy on there (but why just two guys in a mostly female catagory is kind of a moment)

Anyway, as a whole I thought that was a fun poll as a whole .
