Actually I almost didn't even realize that NW had a prequel when I first tried to get into it. Luckily i realized it after just being 5 chapters into NW.

Some people don't even seem to realize it at all and read NW from beginning till end, without having read the original, but they STILL like it even then, which is quite interesting. You can guess, how happy they are to find out that they can still read dozens of chapters of the past events, when someone tells them about the original at some point.

Oh yeah.

I really liked the Breaker myself. So far New Waves is pretty good. The story is already MUCH better than the Breaker imo. Characters & action(Not saying they're bad, far from it) aren't as strong, but hey, the Breaker wasn't that strong in the beginning...imo anyway

I just LOVE the development Shi-Woon is going through. Main reason I'm enjoying NW. I can just feel Shi-Woon surpassing GMR in quality later on.

I predict that Shioon will get there just after Kang Sung is killed by 9AD. He'll burst into tears and after talk no jutsu fails, try to fight. He'll get his butt kicked, but 9AD will leave him alive due to having a soft spot for him still and then continue on his genocidal rampage. Shioon will vow to get stronger and part 3 will start or something.

The series has always been fairly predictable. I'm actually rooting for Kang Sung here, though, as 9AD needs to be stopped. He's nothing more than a murderer now.

Somehow I can't picture that. Shioon bragging I mean, not him not being in a tight spot. He is like his master in some ways, but in others...

Shioon doesn't brag because he never once thought he was the better fighter. He did provoke SUC's Cool Guy and that old Murim doctor to get them to fight though.

9AD likes to spite his opponents because not only is he confident, he generally does hate whoever he is fighting.
