I don't know why, but I'm actually starting to get wary of the game with all these random characters being put in. I know that's how Dynasty Warriors works, and it should only make the game better instead, but I can't help but feeling that the game's going to end up shallow.

Other pages show new weapons, with Impa fighting with both a bow and a glaive, Lana fighting alongside a... mobile Deku Tree Sprout, and various other OoT things, including an OoT!Link skin, the Great Deku Tree, etc.

Musou/Warriors is one of many franchises that have a distinctive style. Either you like most of them of you don't, because they change very little with every game. I suppose if you're in it for the fanservice (like I don't care about Chinese history, but I like Zelda), it'll make a difference, but the gameplay is overall the same.

It's like how just about every Kirby game plays the same with minor differences in copy abilities. Some people dislike how easy the games are, but fans know Kirby has always been like that and will never change.

So YMMV.

I was going to say the same thing. When I heard a DW-esque Zelda game was being made, I was all like "Uh...? Ew, no." because my personal opinion of DW games isn't very flattering. But hey, some people love that stuff so this might be the best of both worlds for them.

Is Dynasty Warriors the kind of game you can just use your favorite characters, or do you HAVE to use everyone? Only ones I'm really interested in using are Link and maybe Shiek, Zelda, and Lana. None of the others really appeal to me.

Well... I've mostly played the spin-off Dynasty Warriors games... but usually the Story Mode will have you play mostly as the main character, with you switching to other characters shortly every now and then... though, looking at the trailer... there will be 4 main characters... so you'll be switching amongst them....

As for all the other characters, there should be a mode where you can play as them from your choice...

But we'll have to see... this IS Nintendo~

If only she fought like this in smash. Loving how Koei/Team Ninja have incorporated Harp Songs into her moveset. Not to mention she looks extremely versatile.

Well, Samurai Warriors 3ds was awesome, particularly because of all the side-characters. It's technically not a main-story game, but the game-play was awesome, and it's probably one of my favorite 3ds games because of the story-line... so I have a feeling that more characters in a Dynasty Warriors game, just means a more intricate/complicated storyline... instead of it being shallow... think of Index or TWGOK...
