Sanguine's my favorite thus far. Just one long line of "The fuck?" coming one after another.

... then again the only ones I've managed to do are Sanguine's and Meridia's. ._.

Btw, sa547, I got your Lakeview mod reported and sorted into BOSS's masterlist.

Back in my first playthrough, and being the fool I was then, Sanguine suckered me in without warning. It was quite shocking, along with nutcase Pelagius (where I had to run around and find something to get out).

@RD: BOSS tells me that I have to clean up my mod, but I'd rather build the mod from the ground up again.

Quote:
HF_Lakeview_Pool_and_Hotbath.esp Active
Contains dirty edits: 8 ITM, 3 UDR records. Needs TES5Edit cleaning. (Cleaning guide)
Warning: This file contains 1 deleted NavMesh records that TES5Edit cannot repair automatically and it may cause problems with your game. NavMesh deletions should be reported to the mod author. A guide to repairing NavMesh deletions with TES5Edit is located here.

HF_Lakeview_North_Perimeter_Fence.esp Active
Contains dirty edits: 0 ITM, 6 UDR records. Needs TES5Edit cleaning. (Cleaning guide)
Otherwise I haven't got a complaint from most people who downloaded the mod, at least for now.

I found Meridia's Statue first and was like WTF is this supposed to do? Then I found what I was supposed to. I also did the Barbas sidequest with the intention of getting a quick reward and instead ended up traveling Skyrim's lower half. xD

Also, Ice Magic is killing me. Enemies that I could otherwise one-hit kill keep bombarding me with movement slowing icicles like they know where I'm going to move.

Magic resistance is the first thing I look for when I play a TES game. This is sort of why I never play any race but a Breton. Max magic resistance ASAP. Armour cap is relatively easy to max in comparison.

Though if you specifically hate ice magic, maybe that's why Nords are the protagonists. The funny thing is so many enemies are ice resistant that Bethesda had to give us the Dragonborn DLC. It was the only way to find something weak to ice; by leaving Skyrim entirely. Without the DLC no one sane would ever specialise in ice spells.

By cleaning it they mean cleaning it with TES5Edit. It's extremely easy to do, and the removal of dirty edits helps improve the stability of the game.

My current story mission is to get the Horn of Wind or something and I've already visited every major town save for Blackreach. Oh and I earned a 5 gold bounty in Riften for breaking into the Jarl's quarters (and I thought the Quick Hands perk was supposed to let me open locks without me being noticed). Which I refuse to pay.

The damage itself isn't a problem. I'm wondering if the magic resistance offers better protection against its secondary effects. Also went with an Imperial 'cause the description made it sound like they'd be good Paladins or something.

In my experience resistances will not touch additional effects such as the slowing effect of ice magic.

Okay, just ran the utility on the newly-revised version of the pool (v1.2b), which no longer tampers with the navmesh, and the only alteration was the position of the tree to make way for the pool. Took me much of early morning to build it from the ground-up.

Now about the only funky thing was... Although I've built the basic cottage on-site, seems there's a persisting bug in which I can't begin building the main hall. Maybe I'll try to leave that cell, wait it out, then move back in.

Will be uploading 1.5b later in the day. BTW, Alduin has yet to appear today.

Sometimes dirty edits are intentional, as a mod may rely on certain things being identical to the vanilla game. Usually not a good idea to clean mods unless the mod author says it's okay.

I'm back. The mod is now 1.5b, with a new watchtower added and revised to comply with TES5edit.

So call me the newbie to computer gaming. I picked up Skyrim right after I built my boosted rig and my god, it runs so fast and smooth and at ultra high quality. I'm too used to the feeling of joy I get with the XBOX 360 controller though, so I'm using that.

This game is still just as awesome. I screwed up big time though and got myself trapped in a pile of pissed off mammoths. I'm in the process of whittling away at their health with flames, but they're staring at me.
Spoiler for Don't look at me like that:

Welcome to our little band!

Because of their powerful attacks, both the giants and the mammoths -- I call 'em Snuffies -- shouldn't be approached with when at a low level (a nasty hit from the club will briefly send you into Aetherius), until you're strong enough and packing more attack points to slow down and kill them.

If you're interested in using mods, give yourself time to get used to the gameworld, before you install mods.

I uh...I got the mammoths, but now their 3 giant friends have me cornered at the top of a tower, so that's my next war.

I'm actually strongest in unarmed at the moment (Fists of Steel), so when Farkus jumps to life to distract them, I got a few great punches in. Probably why it didn't take as long as I thought it would.

Damn, I didn't realize this was addressed to me, sorry! Thanks for the advice, but I've definitely played through hours of Skyrim on XBOX before, so I know the general rules of things. I just happened to walk into an unfortunate spot when I was chasing an elk down for some leather when we ended up quite close to the mammoth grounds. Then Farkus thought it would be funny to attack them. That's when the herd of mammoths along with three giants chased me down. xD

I have returned from the depths of Oblivion after creating my second character.

I didn't realize just how insanely broken mages were, my secnd character is a warrior and she levels up a billion times faster.

Which just goes to show how OP mages are.

Right now I'm stuck in some dungeon fighting off Draugr's I absolutely shouldn't be fighting at this level.

Why did I encounter a group of Overlords at level 18? I will never know.

Just to inform everyone that the Lakeview mod is now 1.6b; did several changes in one day to deal with certain mods and some cosmetic patchups.

For now I'll keep it that way, but someone wanted guards to the estates, which means I'll have to learn about creating combat NPCs, lay in a navmesh and install patrol routines.

As for the game itself, I discovered that a mod (loaded as an .ESM) prevented me from using the Unofficial patches.

You're probably better off having no follower to slow you down. I can't count the number of times they've literally gotten in my way. And if you tell them to stay put they become sitting ducks anyway.

My One-Handed is 100, my Light Armor is ~89, and my Restoration is ~60 as of Level 33. I'm trying to think of a way to raise my Destruction and on the lookout for those 25% Enchantment reductions. On the former maybe I'll kite some Giants and Mammoths again.

He just tagged along for one of the Companion's quests. When I played on XBOX, Lydia died in the first cave we went into, and I just didn't care enough to reload the save and bring her back. :3

On my first playthrough, I rarely used followers because all too often they tend to slow me down, but now, depending on the quest I have to pick which followers I should bring for the job. The UFO mod allows me to organize a larger war party to help break through difficult areas.

As for the Dragon Knight armor, the no-skull version is out now.

I really liked the UFO mod (though I was using the NPC Editor to tweak the followers AI, it saved a lot of time messing with them).

And it is kind of fun having a couple of followers along (healer and complementary fighter)
