The only ones I've seen were towards the end of web arc 2 with the dance and the invitation from Jum to marry Mayumi into the 10 families. And that Honoka confession, when did that take place?

Yeah I realize it isn't a romance LN per se, but most of these action stories have romance subplots which I love focusing on since I love romance but actual romance stories are too peachy for me haha. Go figure.

Edit: I found one of the Mayumi flags, the one where they're studying and Tatsuya says some stuff with double entendres. Any other flags/location of Honoka flag?

I'll point them out when I get the chance. I'll also write part II of the SS where Miyuki gets sick and Mayumi comes over.

There really aren't many Honoka flags. She is fairly aggressive overall, always walking by Tatsuya's side on the opposite side of Miyuki (Miyuki and Honoka never link arms, but they're always up next to him in a distance where they easily could).

As for Mayumi flags, there were a few in the Nine Schools Arc such as the bus and when Tatsuya is adjusting her CAD for Crowd Ball. Arc 5 does not have any. Actually, she spends most of it angry at Tatsuya who, for all intents and purposes, uses her for his own gain. As for Arc 6, there is apparently a valentines event, though I haven't read that far. You'll have to ask boy if you want more information from that. Throughout arcs 1-3, there are a few times here and there where Mari teases Mayumi for how she treats Tatsuya as well. The Student Council Election also has a nice Mayumi moment, but it was between the siblings, and not between her and Tatsuya.

She confessed in the Beach Short Story (detailed summary by raptorfalcon), which I don't know if Enigmatic compiled or not. Chronologically, the Beach SS occurs between Web 1 and Web 2, which is between Volume 2 of the published version and Volume 3. The Beach SS has been published in volume 5, which is a compilation of short stories.

It was a direct confession.

the confession scene also makes Tatsuya say a bit about himself or a secret about himself to Honaka but Honoka doesn't believe it and she thinks he is lying and only making an excuse.

Tatsuya said to Honoka about him lacking emotions. That when he was young he was subjected to experimentation and due to that he lacks emotions which is love so he can't love Honoka back. But to Honoka that is too extreme and hard to believe and she just said he was lying and making excuse. Which I can't blame her because Tatsuya didn't reveal who's family he is from. Just that past that results in him lacking emotions.

Why does that matter? I support them simply because they're the most suited for each other. Some people take it as a cop-out if an author suddenly takes the whole 'not related by blood' route but I would almost prefer it here if only because it would make people more receptive (although the fact that's necessary is a shame) simply since I feel the greatness of their relationship doesn't rely on something as shallow as that. Which works the other way; I believe that supporting the pairing simply for the wincest is missing out on a lot of things as well. There are so many subtleties and nuances in their converstaions/interactions which are beautiful in their own right and which don't merely arise from their being related to each other.

The subtleties and nuances of their conversations/interactions have nothing to do with romance but the fact that they're brother and sister. It's like friends who have known each other for a long time, their shared experiences give their as you said conversations and interactions a lot of subtleties and nuances.

An argument can be made that Tatsuya and Miyuki were alienated from each other for a long period of time and thus did not have time to develop those complexities but to make up for it they have gone through life and death situations together. Furthermore Tatsuya is her guardian and as such their rapport has to be such that they can communicate without him saying a word if neccessary.

And yes, IT DOES MATTER!!!!

Retired frontline soldier. One of the best combat specialists in the country. Master of Tatsuya in military/physical combat.

Spoiler for in short, yes:

Tatsuya and Mio are the only two war level magicians, the others won't be surpassing Tatsuya's magic scale, but in 1 vs 1, there are definitely stronger opponents such as Yakumo, Kudo, or his superior- Kazama. All three of them are masters in the ancient arts and superior in magic (even Kazama is a B Rank).

Tatsuya's magic is indeed superior and destructive or heck all the war level magicians are indeed destructive but since it utterly destructive. It's not advisable to be used in combat. It's really like a nuke you dropped on your opponent and not the type which you used on a duel.

And in just magic battle. Tatsuya is indeed OP but his not the strongest in this verse yet.

Nothing to do with romance? *lol* Miyuki would disagree. And even Tatsuya is affected, since he very clearly notices how much Miyuki dresses and acts differently with him.

I mean, it's perfectly fine to dislike the pairing, but let's not rewrite history. Heck, even the more subdued behaviour in public between these two causes spectators to blush.

It _matters_, yes. But it doesn't preclude romance.
