I get that feeling, but since satou sensei is behind it, I have high hopes. The Mahouka anime suffered from not having Satou involved with production, so now that he's actually involved I have a good feeling about it. Plus the description for it "Shiba Tatsuya becomes a Legend", gives an indication that its going to be epic.

I guess, unlike many people, I don’t hate Mahouka. I’m just an anime-only watcher and to me Mahouka has always been this oddly entertaining anime where I can just sitback leisurely and watch Tatsuya (who is a trained and experienced war veteran) impressing, schooling, owning, and humiliating highshcool kids (and terrorists too) which is clearly below him. He’s kinda like the JSDF who is schooling the medieval civilization in Gate when you think about it. One thing I enjoy from Tatsuya’s OP-ness in Mahouka is that he’d do the necessary action without so much fuss, angst and faux-tension (as long as his sister is safe) unlike, for example, what SAO did with Kirito.

And I like how some notable female characters already have their own boyfriends/lovers/love-interests and Tatsuya didn’t monopolize their attention even though the show itself still leans towards harem.

Wow i wonder how bad the madhouse production was for them to move studios. Manabu ono got replaced which i am not surprised and it seems they have the author writing the script instead of an unknown person now.

Madhouse died in 2011 when their best animators, including most of their founders, left for other studios.

Nah i knew madhouse sucks really bad currently and the only way they can get good productions these days is when they contract really good directors from outside like what they did with Shingo Natsume(and he has his own animators rather than using madhouse's). But with the director and the script writer replaced, oh god it must have been bad

Something I noticed from the trailer after I looked it over again, Kokoa looks strangely similar to Tatsuya




Similar hair color, spiked bangs, and both have those sharp blue eyes

Then there's this scene with DNA strands on the monitors.
