Well... we could create a pen-and-paper or AD&D-style version game based around our mutually-loved concept.

From the looks of this, all of volume one and some of 2 and 3. Someone else could probably answer more in depth.

How would genderbending effect the loops of Endless Eight? Would Haruki pick different activities? Would Mitsuuru want to do something else other than the festival? (Nagato would still likely buy a mask, since even as a he, he acts about the same last I checked).

And what of Itsuko and Kyonko? The whole kimono section might be entirely different depending on Mitsuuru's choice and Haruki's....perversion I suppose.

Also the pool of course. (which would likely spawn the 15,532 sets of fanart)

Or would that me only 15,498 sets?

I think Kaisos did something like that for the VN a while back. It was one of Haruki's flashbacks, called "Augustus" or something.

Well, not an exact novel adaption, but it did cover E8 from Haruki's point of view, so it should give a good idea what E8 would be like in novel form.

There seems to be some of Kyonko based manga coming out of late. Something about a Kyon that gets genderbent by Haruhi's wishes...then managed to break Haruhi via "John Smith" only for an alternate Kyon to arrive to fill in as "John"...and now Kyonko herself has somehow arrived (one that was always a girl). So Haruhi now has, effectively, three Kyons! One male an two female...only it is one of the females that was the original (male) Kyon. There is other stuff but there seems to be gaps in the translations.

I've not seen one were they add a fourth Kyon...one that was female but changed to male by either Haruhi or Haruki. Since that is about the only one left out. But then...how would a female Kyon act in a male body?

You know, we might be facing a reality clash where the four separate worlds all combine so that every versions of the characters get to meet each other. My mind is not ready for such madness.

I think it is mainly just the Kyons. Everything is of course going through Haruhi's deranged mind. Though I think...aside from "John" everyone of the main grouping is either female...or looks female (I'm under the impression Mikuru is a trap now, but not quite Mitsuuru, since "he" still wears Mikuru's breasts). For a moment it seemed like she was going to swap everyone, but she never did herself or Yuki.

Kyonko (girl) does remember everyone as being genderbent (from the mainline point of view), while Kyon(ko) and "John" remember it as the mainline.

A Kyon (girl) might be entertaining...but it is more rare to see a girl in a boy's body in these sorts of things. I suppose because that isn't generally popular.

I mean in the future. I've always been worried about such a possibility, and most likely if the series continues coming out for the next ten years, we'll be seeing it.

That would be madness, but then would only happen in a climax of madness...either as a final resolution....or Haruhi demanded a demented orgy (and she seems like she's only a Kyonkophile).

Besides...how do you hide that North High suddenly has at least fifteen more students, and maybe ten sets of twins?

I love this idea for some reason. If it had a fourth Kyon, it'd just make my day.

Well, yeah, but when I read "manga", for a second, I thought it was official. But a doujin's fine too.
It'd be awesome if some official Kyonko-related thing came out though. This thread needs to be revived like it was last year.
