Regarding my little techwank about Kojima Particles augmenting the Byakushiki such that it "mutates" into a Tachyon-ish armor, putting the IS to almost the same size as an AC:

Though I'm slightly leaning to "It's okay to be OP as long as its Ichika". I'm just curious about people's opinions :3

Imagine the cast in college....on the other hand, maybe not. The only thing keeping the girls in check is Chifuyu. She can't be there when Ichika's in college.

Nope, not problematic at all, rule of cool and all, just be sure to be consistent about it unlike canon, put as much foreshadowing as possible before you give him power up (ST is densely packed with it simply to avoid asspull, I know you can do better ).

For example, Kojima-induced superpower might be one-time use, because the hazard offset the benefits in peaceful condition, and he has no internal source of it.

You may state somewhere before that about barrier-particle interaction being observable phenomenon that isn't really new, whereas the application of that interaction as extension armor is new stuff accidentally founded by Ichika. This way, the concept of barrier-particle interaction become a Chekhov's gun of sort rather than "new power according to plot's demand".

Ichika Orimura (Seiyuu: Megumi Ogata)
15 years, 162 cm, 53 kg

While she appears polite, silent and submissive most of the time, she was a tomboyish and cheerful girl when invoked. Her inferiority complex toward her almighty sister was probably contributes to such outer demeanor. She’s a very dedicated when it comes to helping her friends, especially those in distress. Due to her masculinity and ingenuity in her excited state, she gained considerable fan girls following (and sometimes, worship) her, which she dismissed as extension of her sister’s charm.

Her performance as I.S. pilot is at best fluctuating; heavily depends on her willingness to do her job. Average, she has enough performance to be considered a Cadet Representative for Japan, where she must compete with fellow cadet Kanzashi Sarashiki. She was kidnapped three years prior and joined the same protection program as her childhood friend Houki does. While not as skilled as Houki, she was an accomplished kendo athlete.

Master Sergeant Otoha Sakurano (Seiyuu: Ayako Kawasumi)
16 years, 159 cm, 49 kg

Naïve, cheerful and upbeat, Otoha was born and raised in a small island cluster near Hokkaido. Due to the lack of experience, she didn’t know a lot about the Japan mainland, and while exaggerated, her reaction upon arrival is expected. She is extremely conscious about her body and had comical sense of inferiority about it.

She always dreamed to be a pilot someday, and her recruitment by JDSF practically a huge stepping stones to achieve that. Being an amateur and somewhat underachiever when it comes to theoretical learning, she started out rough, but otherwise promising recruit and frequently pulling a surprise performance that astonished both her superior and fellow pilots. Excellent with Kendo.

First Lieutenant Ichika Orimura (Seiyuu: Kouki Uchiyama)
15 Years, 170 cm, 64 kg

On a first glance, he seems like a laid back person. However, he’s a hard working and very dedicated boy. He’s also very modest, often prone to self depreciation and is bothered by expectation put on him. Kind hearted and handsome, he’s a natural Casanova. Possibly in denial, he’s very oblivious about such attraction to the point of accidental stupidity.

An extremely talented pilot, being the youngest graduate of JSDF Air Force Program, he was tutored directly by former veteran pilot Lt. Col. Togo and later works under his colleague Major Hizaki during the testing of Vic Vipers. It’s heavily implied that he was related to Sonic Diver project, but the reason is undisclosed as of now.

Hardly, it's unisex as far as I knew, actually, it sounds feminine most of the time.

But it'll be a pain in the ass to write a dialogue between them for sure.

I got an idea on how her alternate version and Kanzashi would work out but it's iffy and depends a lot on Tatenashi's position... guess I'll make that part up then.

Same here. Her family raised her to be perfect, so she's going to be perfect. To her credit, no one bar Kanzashi seems to honestly care that she's good in just about everything. They're too busy drooling over Ichika.

AU!Ichika would have raised his gun at that, but then again, this is Tatenashi we're talking about. TO be fair, she was trespassing into military facilities, and she has no special privilege unlike in the original universe.

Tatenashi: "is that a gun in your pocket or are you happy to see me?"
AU!Ichika: "Nope" *Reload his gun* "It's here, so please get out"
