I just hope the animation improves with JC Staff but whatever, incredibly happy for this new season. Also, forgot to mention but there is a new game coming in 2019, new Spirit confirmed but it will be only an exclusive one for this game.

Just saw episode 1 and I have to say the comments from the people who saw it before were all true, the animation is horrendous and I dare to say that is even worse than season 2.

For me it looks like JC Staff it's been working on too many series, trying to make them as fast as they can without trying to add some quality or at least decent animation and designs, I mentioned this before but it happened with Index 3 which is a huge franchise and is happening on DAL 3. Maybe, just maybe the animation will improve but I don't see it happening.

The PV already made me fear the worst. ImoImo at least looked halfway watchable at the start, but this looks just catastrophically bad.

People always mention season two looking terrible, but I rewatched the first two seasons back to back those past few weeks and although there was a drop in quality, it really didn't look bad. Or is it that they made huge improvements in the BD release?

It was the usual IMS treatment, the BD release was indeed much better.

Wow, I think that's the 1st time I've seen a character been able to eat food that looks like that, usually it's comedy relief with a character half dying, it was deliciously ugly I guess.

I think Origami's might have killed him though.

I did a google image search for Nabe afterwards, it looks amazing.

Natsumi was really interesting to begin with, kinda funny how she made everything cartoon like, but boy things changed so quickly, that went all weird rather quickly, guess we will learn more about the sneeze and her condition changing so quickly another time.

Natsumi sure did cause a lot of chaos at the school, there was a lot of funny stuff to watch there, I can't believe Origami could have that much attention to details to notice who the real Shido was.

Interesting start to this 3rd season, either way I am happy this anime is back again, always enjoyed it and looking forward to watching more.

Not-so-shockingly, seeing the actual episode for myself just confirmed that people are being a bit whiny. When you’ve seen animation as horrible as I have, this isn’t that bad. It’s not winning any animation awards at all, but it’s far, far, far from the worst.

Me, I’m not looking a gift horse in the mouth. I’m just glad we got material animated for this series that nobody ever really expected to get animated until the season was announced.

Any news on the new DAL VN that was supposed to have been announced back in October?

As @The Chaos Entity told you before, people have the right to have their own opinion about something that has piss poor quality in terms of animation, the episode didn't confirmed that people is being whiny, in fact is just confirming that you can't deal with what the majority is pointing out due to your lack of standards or bias, is evident that this season was made just to make money fast with the lowest effort possible and then move to the next one. Other series having even worse animation doesn't mean everyone needs to be pleased by what's happening with DAL 3 so that's not even an argument, this is a big franchise not your seasonal harem or isekai N°62779044.

Now leaving aside the animation the episode is missing a few important parts that should've been included and that's not really a good precedent either.

I'm sorry but I wasn't the one going to the LN thread and calling everyone out and saying that anyone who complaint about the animation is spoiled, that was you. Add to that you came here and for a second time decided to call every criticism against the animation people whining about it or saying let the whining commence . You know how's that called? hypocrisy, don't act like you're not throwing fists to everyone who's mentioning how bad is the animation.

You have all the right to think that this is not bad but you're going all out against the ones criticizing what JC Staff did and is not the first time, that's the problem, not your opinion about it.
