If you know the Witcher lore (or read the books at all), I strongly suspect Triss being kidnapped is not going to be the actual plot. Maybe the leading act, but I doubt much more than that.

Anyways, so glad to see my favorite currently-running RPG franchise coming out with a sequel so soon, while also being a tad apprehensive at how fast the turnaround seems to be.

It feels like years since they've been updated, btw.
Also, cake.

After watching the interview on game informer, I'm so psyched:

YouTube
Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. Reload?

It pretty much all but confirms that Yennefer will figure to some extent in this next game (finally), if the ending of Witcher 2 hadn't all but already made that a certainty. I just hope they deal with any potential fallout from the Triss-Geralt relationship from the previous two games well as they fold Yennefer back into the story, though I'm also aware that the setting and tone of the Witcher definitely allows for a less than "happy" outcome from re-introducing Yennefer, which could allow the writers to keep Triss-Geralt from being completely tossed aside (especially in light of Yennefer's apparent amnesia).

There was also a part in that interview that talked about Geralt and how in W3, we'd be concentrating on his his connections to family, "keeping in mind that he's sterile", and that really sounds like Ciri will also show up in some way or another (his surrogate daughter for those who haven't read the novels).

The "threat", I'm assuming, isn't really the Nilfgaard invasion. :d

Man, I'm so psyched. I am concerned at the sandboxy change to the game, as it's almost unheard of for sandbox games to have fantastic narratives, but I have faith that CDPR will not let the narrative suffer with the inclusion of the sandbox.

Also, it's different, but I think I like Geralt's grizzled look for W3.

Ironically I think Japs would find this game too adult LOL.

Exciting news, although I'm also wary of the hardware requirements. Haven't been able to play the second Witcher because of them. Maybe in a few years...

You can make a decent rig to play any game for under a thousand. It should last you at least 5 years. BTW nice sig xD. G.J. has some nice art, but their last game was.... lol bad.

True enough, I just don't game enough these days to really justify having a system dedicated to it. I play what my main work system can handle, but beyond that...

... and I'm impressed, you recognized the source studio of my signature as being from Good Job I can't say I've played the game, I used to just download them and then hand them off to a friend who did image rips.

Witcher was roughly 22~24. If Witcher 2 was 32 I'm thinking in the god damn 40~50 range... thats huge.

Geralt can steer boats and ride horses to reach his destination. He can tame wild versions of the latter with his Axii spell, but you can also purchase mounts from various stables.

I would care more about this if Geralt wasn't such a boring character.

If you're going to restrict me to a premade protagonist, you better make them interesting. Geralt is not interesting. Brooding long-haired male anti-heroes are so 90s.

Apparently the epilogue after the game is an hour long...? Three different endings? 50 hours for storyline. 50 hours for side missions. Hunting... no idea. Lmao. The jumping and climbing thing reminded me of AC. I wonder if the game will break double digits.

To each their own. If you don't like it don't play it. No one is making you. You make it seem like a custom character is anything better. Even if you can design a character yourself your still stuck within the world's story.

So how accurate did the Lore In A Minute team do about the series?

Hrm. CDPR talking about possibly adding multi-player to Witcher 3, after confirming it'll be in Cyborg 2077.

Why am I not particularly thrilled at the idea?

Yeah I don't like the idea too. I don't mind it being added to cyberpunk 2077. It may turn out to be like mass effect 3, the multiplayer having a lot of attention then the story.

It didn't get more attention. Multiplayer was the only way they where going to make more money. It was also a way to milk the franchise. People obsessed with skins and achievements would fork over 15 dollars for all the extras. God. At this rate. Anything that is a trilogy WILL SUCK.
