Actually, his original plan there was kind of dumb all around, IMO.
Presumably he would have had her shoot him somewhere that wouldn't have killed him then got out later. Not that hard to hit a non-vital area at close range when you tell the shooter where to point. Euphie had pretty good aim, too, when she shot that person in the crowd in the chest.

Even if he didn't feel betrayed and chose to listen to Suzaku, Lelouch would have had a hard time believing Suzaku had that kind of firepower present, let alone at his very own fingertips, since FLEIJA had just been rolled out. And Lelouch would have had an even harder time convincing the Black Knights of such a thing. And what if they did believe it? They'd be forced into surrendering a key battle, and victory would be Schneizel's.

True.

Personally I wish Lelouch chose something other than Zero Requiem as his final plan to recreate the world.

Well whatever. Point is I wish the Fleija bombing had not happened. I mean, I'm not sure exactly what practically would've prevented. Incidentally, I guess if the SAZ massacre hadn't happened Nina probably wouldn't have gone nuts and made the Fleija.

Nina was actually working on FLEIA before she died. Remember Lloyd commenting on her work concerning nuclear fission of uranium-235 when he came to visit Milly? It would have been created, just probably not as fast.

If I'm not mistaken, Nina was working on something entirely different using radioactive materials, which Lloyd had provided her with... it wasn't until Lelouch murdered Euphemia that she weaponized that research into the predecessor of FLEIJA.

She was working on a nuclear reactor, and built it. She just intended to overload it. Then she made it into an actual bomb.

Yeah, that's what I thought. Sorry, my memory on season 1's a bit fuzzy.

Lelouch, in my opinion, is the best male character in any anime I've seen so far. He understands how people think, and he's very conceited. He also seems to ridicule people who try terribly.

The Zero Requiem was a brilliant idea, everything was planned out so well, i just wish Lelouch would've
Spoiler for Code Geass R2 ep 25:

Although it could have easily been Sayoko as the target, I think.

Anyways, Lelouch is a great character.

Consider it disproven: At the time of Lelouch's execution at Suzaku's hands, Sayoko is shown to be within a cell alongside the other Zero-R collaborators.

Why would Sayoko be the target, anyway?

He's saying Sayoko could have been Lelouch's body double.

Why not? That's the reason he started Zero Requiem in the first place. He wanted an excuse to die.

No, the idea that he would make Sayoko take his place. That's what I was confused about. ^^'

Oh. I guess because she had served as Lelouch's double over at Ashford.

What if Lelouch was wearing a Sayoko mask?

I do realize Lelouch no longer had a reason to live, which means he probably did die, but if he did, it could have easily been a Sayoko-Lelouch Switch-a-roo.

Consider it further disproven by Sayoko's appearance and friendly conversation with Viletta in the final Picture Drama.

If Sayoko can look like Lelouch, couldn't it be the other way around?

Uh... no, not really, actually. With the mask, Sayoko has decent facial proportions to fill in Lelouch's profile. A Sayoko mask on Lelouch would probably make his head look slightly larger than normal. Of course, this is disbarring standard animation physics.

But for all intents and purposes, Lelouch is confirmed to be dead while Sayoko is confirmed to be alive. It'd be best to just accept the fact or, if you want to continue believing in Lelouch's survival, just not bring it up on this forum. It has a nasty tendency to spark flame wars among the more serious fans of the show.

(Hint: I'm not a serious fan)
